Birch Hill was so much better before the town of Old Bridge shut it dowm. I have so many fond memories of that place. It was a bastion of slutty women and underage drinking. Such a shame.

I quite like Nile. Can't recall atm which album of theirs I have as it is on my other hard-drive but I enjoyed listening to them.

    Lucretia by Megadeth

  4. Suffocation is def. a band that takes time to truly appreciate. I remember when I was 16, still pretty new to the scene and somebody reccomended them to me. i picked up Effigy of the forgotten and was very dissapointed. It all sounded muddy and thrown together.

Acouple years later I gave it another try and was blown away. They really are the masters of mixing amazing fast blast beats w/ slow pounding breakdowns. All those breakdowns you hear mall metal bands like 18 visions and Throwdown doing...That was all thought up by Suffocation.

I enjoy Nile..but aside from "Amongst the catacombs of nepfra kah" I find alot of their stuff vastly overrated. However, the reason they are thought so highly of, is b/c they gave the genre a new spin a a time when it needed it badly. So I can live w/ the overblown hype.

This band doesn't sound like something I'd listen to (by the name), more something like people like 1028 or Kurt would..

    Nodes of Ranvier - Grave

  10. Is the name of the song grave or the name of the band?

Either way...listening to titles like that...there's no need to fight it...you are destined to like death metal:up:

Nah, Nile is one of those bands that I know is good, but that I just cant get into. The same for Suffocation. I enjoy select songs by either band, I just have trouble listening to an album from beginning to end without getting bored. I think that I just need to give em more a chance. Thats usually the case. I didnt like Morbid Angel or Deicide when I first started listening to em, but I love em now
