Social Distortion and Bad Religion together in concert last friday..... walking distance from our campground + college buddies reunion (one turned 50 the day before) = total shitshow and a 3 day long episode of Jackass ... I'm still recovering
My first cousin, Robbie, is the drummer for Lauv. Lauv, what do I know from these things; but Robbie's talent outside of being a great percussionist is that he's moved very heavily into the band management end. His client list would knock your socks off, it's really impressive. His fiance is lovely, she's a Scream Queen from Australia. A Scream Queen, I couldn't ask for more, haha. Anyway, nature vs nurture, my birth family on both sides, it's kinda crazy, we're all in the arts . . . only I don't make money! Robbie is on my paternal side. We all share this indefinable cast around our eyes where you can tell we're related without question. That's something that most people take for granted, but I'm adopted, so that part has been a rather wild ride for me over the years. I have not heard or listened to one Lauv song. You can all feel free to sarcastically crap on it if you like, but I think it's really cool. And it's a crazy wild story. When Robbie was 14 he said, "Hey, Mom, I'm really good at this. I think I can make it " And here we are, how 'bout that. I love my cousin, he's a doll of a person. So that's my Music Story.
I just grabbed 2 Gilmour tickets for msg in Nov. my favorite musician . saw him there in 2016 and it was amazing. Good chance I won’t even be able to go, but the tix will be highly flippable if that’s the case.
