Just got this record the other day. I had always heard that Gene $immons “discovered” them and Casablanca signed them to be the “Anti-Kiss”.
I could do without the costumes but I have to give credit when do. I like the album a lot!

Saw them Miami Beach November '85. The best HC show I ever saw. They opened with 'Riot' and the place went complete apeshit as they built up to, "...this town is gonna blow and it's aaaaaaalllllllll gonna blowwwww right, NOW" Good times...

Not sure if it’s the same band but I saw the Black Angles in New Orleans about five or six years ago. Kind of a cross between Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd.

Awesome band. Haven't seen them live, but I have multiple live downloads and they sound really good live. This track was the first thing I ever heard from them and was hooked immediately. For me, their last 3 disks have been real hit/miss, more miss than hit.

Yeah, that seems like a fair comparison. Should be a fun show.... "Backyardstage", outdoor venue on the small stage behind the amphitheater.
Saw Agent Orange, the Queers and Guttermouth there.

For me, they're a cross between the Doors/Velvet Underground/Jesus and Mary Chain. Their new stuff the 'hit' is really good, but it's sparse compared to their first 2 disks. Enjoy the show.

Agent Orange, Black flag, DK, Circle Jerks, Social D, the Meatmen, 7 seconds, Minor Threat, Bad Brains all played huge parts of my adolescence. For me, early-mid 80's was the golden age of HC. 50 years old and still listen to this day...
