Oh crap, you're one of these "get the the guy for a typo" dudes. Things like business emails, etc I take the time to craft carefully. Here at theganggreen.com which is often a quick study break from reality, I type fast and don't review for proper sentence structure or spelling. My apologize, you got me, good one, my argument is completely compromised now. As for the substance of your post, I agree you can't take a single game and project the future, but let's face it guys and gals, we knew both of our lines were undermanned last year, pushed off the ball too often, etc. What we did to address it in the offseason was: Kenyon Coleman on defense, nothing on offense. So what did we see today, crappy protection of our quarterback (5 sacks, nothing, and I mean nothing from our denfense (no sacks), etc, etc. It's like the today's game was really just the 5th through 8ths quarters of last year's playoff game. So the view by many here that this is our short step back year in anticipation of a quantum leap next year (I've seen that posted many times) is unfortunately not supported by the product and player talent on the field. We're going backwards is my opinion, that's all. It all starts up front in football, and we brought in one guy who is a substantial upgrade over Kimo. We're in trouble...
i can see what jetfighter is getting at, in a way. there are a lot of holes on this team and next years draft isn't going to fix them and put us in any better position than what this team has been for the past 5 years(mid level team). unless mangini and tann use free agency to help build this team a little quicker, the draft alone isn't getting it done, too many positions need upgrading to be waiting for drafts. tangini, please use free agency to help get this team over the hump... i do believe this is what jetfighter was trying to say...
