11-5 or better, Division Title, Home playoff game, Possibly a bye, depending on how the weaker divisions shake out.

A lot of experts are expecting the Jets to "regress" next season because of what happened to Miami (from 11-5 to 7-9) and Atlanta (from 11-5 to 9-7) this past year, but that's kinda hard to do when our record was 9-7. I think the next step in this chain of events is to beat the Bills AND Dolphins twice and win the Division. We're facing some good teams next year, but they're coming to play us at home, which could give us the edge in the 4th if the game is close. Hopefully we continue being a good road team as well and we could win more than 10 games this season. To be honest, regardless of how we do it, I just want to get back in the Playoffs. I think 1 or 2 more trips to the POs and I expect us to be making a SB appearance in the near future.

11-5 and we win the Division.

It's way too early for me to make my prediction since we haven't been through FA or the draft yet, but I can see a 9-7/10-6 record right now.

    I think we have a great shot at 11-5 / 12-4 but I EXPECT the Jets to get to 9-7 / 10-6.

Expecting 12 wins is ludacris in my opninion, unless your team is the Colts.

You mentioned the 4-3 defense and how they are predominately a 3-4 defense at heart.. taking off from there, does anyone know the deal on Adalius Thomas? I remember hearing things during the season how he got benched.. I'm SURE Rex would love to have Adalius back on his defense, but we don't realy need a LB, unless we wanted to get rid of BThomas.

This year's team was already worth 11 wins, bad breaks (rookie INTs, injuries) held us to 9. I see us in the 11-12 win range for next year.

I'm waiting for the order of the games to come out before I make my prediction. Last year I predicted 9-11 wins and I was right so I'm going to wait for the actual schedule.

Revis fucking christ............. the off season just barely started. No draft and/or free agency and we are going to have a prediction thread?

I say the Jets are going 16-0 and romp to the SB. The Jets are going to get Nmandi, Peppers, Dumbanddumberville and Sanchez is going to b better than Manning.......... good times Jet fans good times.

I'll go with 10-6, but I voted 11-5 because I feel thats more realistic than going 9-7. The pats run of dominance is coming to a close and it wouldn't surprise me in 2-3 years if the dolphaggits also jump ahead of them, with the lonely bills still living in the basement.

Right. They were top 3 in yards per game and top 6 in points per game. How will they score? No doubt they will upgrade the 3rd WR position. Vollmer, IMO will be the new left tackle with Light going to the right side. Rookie OC will have a year of experience under his belt. Brady will be better. IMO the Pats hold on for the division again. I think Sanchez needs another year to mature. I would grade him a C this year and expect him to improve to a B. I want to see if his decision making improves. Should be a great 2010.

win the AFC east. Sanchez has to progress and we have to take advantage of the gaping holes in NE's defense .

    I'm thinking between 7-9 to 10-6.

I look at it for several reasons

    a) no offseason work has started (FA/Draft/etc)
    b) There are a couple of holes on the team
    c) You never know who will get injured. Jenks this year. What happens if its Revis in 2010?
    d) Sanchez' surgery
    e) contract issues with several players (Mangold/Faneca/Revis/Jones/LW/)
    f) CORNERS!!!

Granted should everything go our way and we pick up a standout rookie for either pass rush or corner, the Jets could well be on their way to an 11-5 or 12-4 record.

The bar was set really high this year and I think we will see a step backwards before a step forward. Year 3 of the RR regime should be could as long as we can hang on to our drafts pics for 2011 (if there's football...)

and what sucks is that with the uncapped rules the FA signings will not be as strong and having the same team back with few draft picks is fuckin dangerous.

I'm going with a 10-6 season. Tiebreakers will win the division next year.

A good one, but disappointing nationally speaking. As with all good but not great teams in the NFL, I'll guess 10-6 while the goings nice and optimistic.

We'll have a target on our backs next year. Oh no!

Without any major injuries,i would expect playoffs. I would think we should win the division. If there are no playoffs, and the team is healthy, then the SOJs are not really dead.
