Look if the Turks can keep ISIS out of their country. Then it's a major blow to them since most of their new recruits are killed in battle and they are able to replenish them mostly via Turkey. If they can stop it, that's a big deal but expect a lot of terrorism in Turkey if that goes down. If the tide turns against ISIS they won't be getting so many recruits. Because nobody likes a loser.
I tried accessing a few of those sites that ghostbin listed and could not access them through my Firefox browser at all, some I could access using my Tor browser but some came back with a message saying I could not access them for security reasons. Not sure what any of that means but maybe someone is trying to shut them down.
Anybody who thinks Tor is truly anonymous is playing with fire. The concept may have worked in a day and age when nobody was poisoning potential exit points but it certainly isn't risk-free now. All they have to do is identify you once and you will get a nice little addition to your Tor client that tracks you permanently.
Mother fuckers. Beheading people is horrific and disgusting and but destroying ancient ruins is an abomination. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/24/w...ient-temple-at-syrias-palmyra-ruins.html?_r=0 _
It seems like at this point ISIS is taunting the rest of the world to get involved and luckily for the most part everyone's stayed out of the way. It's like they want someone to drop a giant bomb on them so they can be like "SEE SEE! The western world hates Muslims!" You have to believe they're praying for a radical republican that's going to run in their guns a blazing. That in turn will slowly wear our army and resources down while increasing our debt. I had a teacher in high school that used to draw the comparison of the fall of the Roman Empire via Germanic & other barbaric tribes to the fall of the US as a superpower. It's very scary to think about because the comparison isn't that far off. If we play into the hands of these morons we as a country are going to struggle more than ever.
If they blew up the Sistine Chapel or David or the Louvre or the Taj Mahal I think there'd be uncontrollable outrage. Beheadings? Meh. And old Syrian temple? Ho hum. _
The irony is that the Roman Empire fell because of something completely out of it's control: climate change. Specifically a series of long droughts in central Asia that drove nomadic peoples west, displacing entire populations in front of them. The Roman military response to these incursions bankrupted an already weakening economy over a couple of centuries and the empire fell. At the same time the droughts were occurring in central Asia the climate in northern Europe cooled significantly, damaging Roman agriculture on a wide scale. This put further pressure on the Roman provinces there and led to their decline. The average Roman living in Rome didn't know the empire fell. The Romans who were benefiting the most from the empire, the businesses and landowners in the provinces were the people who knew things had changed. Everybody else was a victim of forces beyond their control.
ISIS is likely a creation of some power looking to use them for a specific purpose. Things look very chaotic at ground level but I'm sure they're much simpler from thirty thousand feet. The questions is who created the Frankenstein and what do they want?
It's just a fucking mess over there, probably always will be. For instance... Even when we have an edge on ISIS, making advances with ally Kurds (PKK)... Here comes Turkey with air raids on, not ISIS, but our PKK allies; killing hundreds. Iran has moved in and operates through Baghdad (unbelievable). USA Weapons and the means to sustain war are lost constantly by 'friends' to those who want chaos. Turkey is being called-out in large part for aiding/supporting ISIS. I think there are more than 5 different factions fighting in Syria; though do any identify as 'good'? Weapons manufacturers love it. War = $$ At this point, isolate the fighting and keep our people and money away. And/or protect Baghdad from falling into Iranian hands. Larger American concern should be controlling sea lanes for trade, especially in Asia and around the Mediterranean Sea
I'm not sure either. They do seem smarter than the normal bone heads in the eastern world though. Using the media to display everything they do, and using social media for recruitment purposes is a bit innovative for that area of the world. I could be wrong but they also seem to be the first organization to attack ancient ruins (correct me if I'm wrong) on a grand scale like this.
Everything is fine. Just think, pretty soon we'll have Hillary in office creating scandals that take our attention away from how the world is imploding.
well thats one of their points. They believe in the "last days". Bring all in that one spot for an all out war.
In the history of warfare one of the first moves is always try to cut off supply lines. Here, we know supplies are freely moving into Syria. The country is set to stage war for the next 100 years+. And with that will come spill over into other Nations, like a weak Iraq that is unable to protect itself. And attempts at a most hated foe, Israel. The entire region is unstable. And the only silver lining is many bad/crazy/radical people will die, but so will the good.
The Taliban attacked religious and cultural icons on a grand scale in Afghanistan. Pakistan was their creator and benefactor. Would the Paki's reach as far west as Syria in their attempts to destabilize the Iranian mullahs?
