Number of Jets 2006 Draft picks

Many mocks don't seem to reflect what I think our pick situation will be come draft day. First, I hope all the prospects work out great as this will increase the value of our pick at number four if we trade it, or allow us to take someone our staff is convinced can be a difference maker.

We currently have all our picks plus KC 4th and Det. 7th.

Compensation picks haven't been awarded, with most people thinking we may get a third and fourth(scenario A) or fourth and fifth (scenario B).

Abe is likely to be traded for ??? We probably won't get franchise value(two first) because teams know we are in a bind. Possibly a second in 2006 and maybe a mid round 2007?

If we were to trade down and gain second, we then have a possible

round scenario A picks scenario B picks

    1 1 1
    2 3 3
    3 2 1
    4 3 3
    5 1 2
    6 1 1
    7 2 2

This is not crazy nor far fetched. A new regime could begin a major roster makeover with this ammount of picks. Even staying at pick four removes only one second rounder from this projection. Draft gurus help me out is this probable? Then we can discuss drafting philosophy.
