What helped our D more, Rex Ryan or 5 consecutive defense-oriented drafts?

With our two biggest offensive flops to date, Vlad and Hill, I would go with scouting. These where two highly drafted projects that had physical ability but lacked experience. For a team that possessed such a small window due to age and contracts these were huge mistakes.

There have been hits and misses on both sides of the ball. Wilson has not been as good as thought coming out of school. Ellis has lost his job to a UDFA. Josh bush is a bit player. Guys like Conner, Ganaway and Griffen, and McKnight added nothing to the team.

Part of the reason we have not had the high profile misses on the defensive side is we have yet to draft that boom or bust project like we have on offense. It could be due to some coaching issues as well. For my money Marty is the first real talented OC we have had since Rex took over. Shotty was a hold over and not a great one. Sprano looks like a rex hire, but he was also out of the Parcells tree where Tanny came from. No matter who had the final say it was a disaster.

When Rex had talented teams he had us within a win of the superbowl. With less talented squads we are still playing hard, just not executing as well. So if you like Rex or not comes down to how much say you think he had in drafting and free agents as well as contracts. Is this a growing session while we undo the trama caused by Tanny and Bradway or is this missing on offensive picks going to continue?

LOL you insult me in every post you ever make to me. It ain't my fault you are a moron and can't comprehend basic English. The 2nd paragraph wasn't addressed to you, ya dumb fuck. Maybe you should just fuck off. Put me on ignore if you don't like my posts, because I already know what I'm doing as soon as I finish this, you disrespectful punk. Graduate from high school, and then MAYBE we can have an adult conversation. It would be different if you even made an attempt at discussion but all you do is insult me, so I have every right to insult you back.

This type of shit is the reason I wish we could trade fan bases. The NY fan base is absolute shit.
