  1. Man,talk about reinforcements. 3 guys all capable of being all pro's, and all in the prime of their career. All 3 will go a long way in providing a spark, not just with their own play..but also what their addition means to other player's roles.

I'll actually go w/ Pace as the biggest piece. He was really getting to the QB all preseason and looked like he really worked on his counter moves in the offseason. Thus far, the defense has struggled when they haven't gotten a decent pass rush off the edge...I believe Pace will fix this. Not only will he be another athletic pass rusher...but he'll also allow Taylor to stay fresh and truly be a 3rd down pass rush specialist.

Revis' return will be huge as well as this will allow Cromartie to go against alot of #2 wideouts and get alot more balls thrown his way. We've seen Wilson have decent success in the slot..but struggle on the outside. Revis' return allows everyone to play to their strength..and when you combine that w/ the improved pass rush, as stated above...and we're looking at a much improved pass D within the next few weeks.

Holmes provides a big time boost to an offense that has gotten alot of momentum. Although many will point to Holmes' addition as a playmaker down the field..I actually think the biggest improvement will be seen in the running game. Defenses will have to respect the passing threat of Holmes/Edwards/Cotchery/Keller and LT out of the backfield...therefore teams will be forced to keep safeties out of the box and will have difficulty sticking to a "stop the run first" philosophy. It doesn't hurt that Holmes,Cotchery, and Edwards are all plus run blockers capable sealing the corners for big plays off tackle. The ground and pound is gonna come alive in a big,BIG way.

Man...exciting times to be a jets fan....we just have to avoid underachieving against buffalo...which historically, is no easy feat for this franchise..

a healthy Revis is too obvious of a choice.

I'd say mental discipline....... TOO MANY penalties!!!

also somehow bring back the dominant running game. Was Faneca that key to it? With Sanchez playing like he has the RBs should be facing less men up front. Last season other teams KNEW the Jets would run, and they still ran em over!

Sanchez developing more. If he can play like he has the past two games on a consistent basis, it'll be a wonderful thing.

Revis healthy seems to me to be the obvious choice. I think there's no way the fish score 23 against this D if a healthy Revis were on the field. It's awesome the Jets won without him, Pace, Jenkins, and of course Holmes not yet with the team. But Revis is the key. The Jets were not able to blitz much with him out, and Cro would have done better if he didn't have to guard Marshall, who btw is an awesome player.

Revis and Pace take care of our two biggest defensive concerns. Holmes is a luxury on offense, but he certainly can't hurt.

I'd love our OLine to return to last year's level. Mangold needs to get healthy and Slauson and Woody need to improve.

    And less penalties!

I honestly don't believe you can nitpick on single thing that makes this team better. Getting back Pace and Revis on defense is game-changing. It completely changes the way teams have to plan against the Jets, and allows for much more blitzing between the security of Revis covering the #1 and Pace being the best pass-rush guy we have.

At the same time, while Holmes is a luxury, he's going to be huge. You see how Edwards and Keller can play right now. Take away at least one defender and probably an extra safety on Holmes' side, and now suddenly you have an open Edwards, or Keller, or Cotchery, or LT far more often.

Getting all three back is going to make this team scary.

    Scary.

I don't think Revis, Pace and Holmes are valid options for me in this poll... because those things somehow are a given... you can count on them, they're already part of the team.

I think it would be more interesting to just vote on the mentality issues, rookies developing, improving a position on the roster...

anyway, I voted for the LG spot.

Where's the "make Joe McKnight the featured back" option?

I chose coaching because of penaltes. Anyway my three major factors that will take us to the next level will be obviously 1. Reduce boneheaded penalties 2. The pash rush needs to take that next step 3. And finally the safeties to me have looked lackluster, they need to step up in coverage!

all of them will, but getting revis back to 2009 form is w/o a doubt gonna have the bigest impact
