Favre throwing touchdown passes and celebrating joyously as he and the Jets completed a 34-13 road upset of the Tennessee Titans, the final undefeated team in the league.
I am hearing a lot about 3rd and 15 against NE, the Titans TD to Cotchery, and bringing leadership to the locker room... Last I checked, the team hated him and he was separated and isolated like the diva he has always been. Favre ruined this team for years to come, and wiped his ass with the franchise to feed his ego. Oh yea, add that to the fact that HE SUCKED ASS THIS YEAR OUTSIDE 1 OR 2 GAMES!!!! I mean sucked like I have not seen a QB suck since Browning Nagle. P.S. I do not believe he had an injury. That is a cover up. My memory : taking a team that was 8-3 by playing good defense and running game, and Favre single handedly becoming the hero (like he always did and most times not successful in playoffs...look at his record) and stopped giving the ball to Jones and Washington and throwing 40 times a game with the AFC leading rusher on his team. Farve tried to be Favre, and he has not been in a long time, we saw the result. If chad was here they make the playoffs...case closed. They don't win a title, but Favre was an embarrassment down the stretch. On August 6th, when the Jets got him, my dad called me all excited. I said "Dad, don't get too excited. Best they do is 9-7 and no playoffs. This guy hasn't had it in years". I should play the lotto.
Watching Favre put up 56 points against the Cards reminded me of how much fun I had watching the Jets in the '80s, back when they had O'Brien, Walker and Freeman, guys who will never get their due. And to be honest, watching those three was more exciting than watching Favre, Coles and TJ, but just watching a Jet team with an explosive offense brought back some memories. And just in general I like the way he just moves around and makes it all look so easy, that's why people say he looks like a kid out there.
The Tennessee game was a thing of beauty. The pass Favre snuck in to Coles between 4 TN defenders was remarkable, makes you wonder what would have been the case had BF not had the bicep injury and when exactly did it occur?
The time he dislocated his finger, went to the sideline and had it popped and taped, then returned to play. A man is not defined by the amount of pain he can inflict, but rather the amount he can tolerate and function with.
