I am still OK with Ryan...the players play hard for the guy and the D is solid. The offense is a mess...Tanny with poor personnel decisions, poor drafting, poor coaching hires. Sanchez has taken a monster step backwards from the 32 TDs and most efficient red zone QB in the league that he was last season
Sanchez was God awful tonight, but, there was a series where he threw two straight completions and the Jets Brain Trust trots in Tebow. It is simply beyond comprehension how this team operates.
I cannot understand your thinking. Rex's defense gets worse every year. Rex's offense is a disaster. Rex's special teams stink. Rex tied the whole team's season to the most incompetent QB in the league, and destroyed what chance there was of Sanchez getting his act together. Rex and Tanny have repeatedly misevaluated talent in a manner that is so consistent that it almost appears deliberate in hindsight. Rex has to go.
Football is a game of starts and stops. On the field. Off the field. Watching. Playing. Saying that putting Tebow in for a series messed up Sanchez's rhythm is just absurd. That's like saying halftime screwed up a team... or we would have won except for the commercial break. C'mon, man. These guys are supposed to be professionals.
They look like a coaching staff that has a lack of identity. Rex preaches this ground and pound philosophy that 1/2 the time they try to cater to, and the other half they try to please the fans. I wish they would pick one or the other and go for it. It's obvious they are trying to emulate a 49ers or Ravens strategy of protecting the football and controlling the tempo. Without the personnel, this isn't going to work!. Worst part is they can't cater to their strengths because they don't have any!
Sure, but, Sanchez has been so fragile and hurled umpteen picks this season. If he's on a roll don't fuss with it, if it ain't broke..
I don't buy into the "QB rhythm" argument/excuse that many here use, but I agree, if something is going right, don't fark with it except for very specific circumstances, such as short yardage pickups.
Let's not blame the coaches. What were the odds of Sanchez being "in a rhythm" when they pre-planned the Tebow series?
That serves as another example of how horrible Rex is. you cannot stay on one hand that you have no involvement in the offense, and then turn around and insist that the third series goes to Tebow regardless of momentum and game flow. It's all just a joke at this point. And a very bad one. All three of them have to go. Tannenbaum Rex and Sanchez
That defense has come together and is playing very well. The offense is just pathetic beyond pathetic. Sparano seems clueless Sanchez is shot Tebow is hopeless. I think Rex should stay but an experienced high caliber OC needs to be hired to fix this mess. This is the worst performance I have ever seen from a Qb and an offense with then playoffs on the line against a bad defense. Don't blow it up change the offense draft on offense go get a vet Qb.
Rex totally lost me when he admitted HE told Sparano to put in Tebow at that point in the game. I thought Tebow was supposed to be put in when the game dictated, not at a predetermined point before the game even started? I'm sorry, Rex is just not a HC, imo, he's in over his head and I don't see us winning anything with this regime.
Even me as a Tebow fan was wondering why the hell they put him in there. I've been wondering that all season. What happened to a backup being the backup? This isn't basketball where you substitute your starting point-guard to give him a rest.
That was perhaps a defining moment in Rex's HC career as it had everybody wondering WTF.. Its these kinds of in-game (pre-game) decisions that either get your fired or at the very least, earns the "fisheye" on your decision making process.
seriously?!?! That's awful, and may mean the end of REX as a HC. I like him, players play hard for him, great defensive guy, but ZERO feel for the offense.
C'mon man... Having a preset time for Tebow to come in the game regardless of the situation? Seriously?
