why are you so bent on the fact that you think people are saying EVERYONE who doesn't like him is racist? I don't recall anyone saying that. did someone actually say that?
I think this is way overblown. He is a very popular player and about to be voted MVP. His high level of play and celebrations have drawn attention. Brady is white and he is despised by many fanbases, people think he's arrogant, a cheater, phony, cocky, etc. Being great and being hated comes with the territory. The only player in recent memory who has achieved universally acclaimed greatness and seemingly has no haters is probably Steph Curry. No idea how he did it. Everyone else who becomes great gets a segment of haters. This is just overblown fluff because there is not much to talk about the week before the week leading up to the SB. Tired of the race talk too. Cam makes $20 million per year and has plenty of endorsements. He is not being discriminated against because of his skin color. Stop.

I think Curry has rose to stardom without any opposition because LeBron turned himself into a villain and the NBA was looking for someone to love. Steph took the reigns and ran with it.
I think this is a media driven controversy much like Richard Sherman ranting a little bit and somehow that got turned into a black/white issue. What's annoying is this is what the sports media has turned into....rather than breakdown the Super Bowl their gonna talk about how nobody likes Cam Newton because he's black or act like we have never seen another player like Newton in the history of sports...just a bunch of nonsense.

if i had a scale of dislike ranging from 0 to -5, where 0 = neutral, and -5 = most dislike; my personal ratings would be as follows: Newton: -2 Manziel: -5 Br*dy: -5 Cam rubs me the wrong way, but he's not beating his girlfriend, or defrauding the game while acting uppity. so it's a mild dislike for me. agree i haven't heard anyone call him a thug, nor should they be.

Agreed. Curry is well liked because he is one of the most classy, humble guys out there. It's practically impossible to not like him. Lebron polarized people with his decision debacle. Newton polarizes people because the celebrating is as close to taunting as you can get. I personally like Cam, but just think he needs to tone it down a bit. I'm sure he will as he gets older. Cam is kind of ushering in the new generation. If anything it's ageist, not racist. Folks don't understand the new generation with the auto tuned uncreative garbage that is passed off as music and embraced, with the whips, naynays, dabs, swagger, etc. Damn those whippersnappers.
