I also love that Hawaiian mook Mariota but I hate all other Hawaiians (other than Hayn). That's why I love the Iditirod. _
Some salty ass people in this thread. Kinda reminds me when Lebron went to the heat then years later everyone was on his dick. I don't give a rats ass if he wears gold shoes or dances. Why on earth are so many bother by another grown man? Not everyone can be like you or Manning or Brady or.. Sent from my BLU LIFE ONE X using Tapatalk
If those things didn't mean anything to Cam he wouldn't be selling them so hard. They are part of his created image and he wants them to elicit a reaction from fans. Problem is you can't dictate whether it will be positive or negative reactions. But it's nonsensical for the criticism to be levied at the people having the reaction. Unless you think it is ridiculous for people to have a favorable opinion of Cam, you know, because why would so many people admire a grown ass man? Admire and being bothered are merely reactions to someone on opposite ends of the spectrum. But either having any sort of emotional reaction is a problem or neither are a problem. You can't have it both ways. Your argument requires you to be absolutely ambivalent about any player, because it's silly to have any opinion about another grown man, or admit your argument above is meritless.
@JStokes - i get it, but i am a just the game guy. nothing of any kind of substance comes from those, its more of a circus than a benefit. i have very very little interest in post game press conferences. i never watched them other than when rex or herm were up there bold faced lying to everyone.wasnt this from a different thread?
Cam will never pass up an opportunity to let the world know how great he is. He reminds me of another person in the media lately, but I can't seem to remember who it is. . Anyway ... Cam just announced that he's going to build a wall, and the Mexicans are going to pay for it.
It's funny how this works. Peyton after losing to the Saints, walked off the field and didn't shake anyone's hand. Yet, no one attacked Peyton for being salty as fuck. Instead they blamed it on his competitive spirit. That said, I found Cam to be immature during the game but no one is perfect. Brady whines and screams like a little bitch, no way would I want to idolize that.
but Russell Wilson & Teddy Bridgewater don't show ANY personality. They are like programmed robots. "God is good.. my teammates...my coaches... swag.. (oh shit - the robot broke! fix the program!)... excuse me.. I don't mean swag. I mean my teammates... my coaches... God is good. Thank you everyone" so you like black QBs when they don't show any personality? when they are robots? hmmmmm At least Cam Newton isn't a robot, that's why I kinda like him. although that pussy decision not to dive for the loose ball kinda pissed me off. But at least that's a football related thing. ----- by the way, no one seems to have a problem with Manning's ridiculous shit after the game. "I don't know if I'm going to retire yet or not.. I'm going to drink BUDWEISER and decide. Did ya'll hear me? IM GOING TO DRINK BUDWEISER!" Kisses his Papa Johns Super PAC leader.... Yes, everyone I am going to drink budweiser" Flip the script a little: Cam Newton wins the super bowl. Can you imagine if in the post game interview he said. "Yes, now that the season is over I can finally wear my beats headphones founded by Dr. Dre. Do ya'll hear me? I'm going to wear my beats headphones" kisses Dr. Dre. I am going to celebrate with courvoisier and Beats Headphones with Dr. Dre and answer your questions later" people would HATE Newton lol
"they haven't seen nothing that they can compare me to" stfu http://www.theonion.com/article/cam-newton-leaves-panthers-to-start-own-football-t-26360 Cam Newton Leaves Panthers To Start Own Football Team SPORTS NEWS IN BRIEFOctober 19, 2011 VOL 47 ISSUE 42 Sports·Football CHARLOTTE, NC—Rookie quarterback Cam Newton delivered a statement Tuesday announcing his plans to move on from the Carolina Panthers so he can start his own independent professional football team. “I want to thank the Panthers for giving me the opportunity to play for them, but I would be denying myself the chance to reach my full potential if I stayed here,” said Newton, adding that he will be using a lot of what he learned over the past six weeks as he gets his franchise started. “I’ve hit my peak with this organization. This is something I need to do.” According to Newton, he has contacted wide receiver Steve Smith to play for him and head coach Ron Rivera to help design his new team’s website. SHARE THIS STORY:
Frankly, if my quarterback won 17 games and got me into the Super Bowl, I wouldn't give a fuck if he endorsed Josef Stalin in his post-game interview. It's like Jets fans don't remember rooting for Mark Gastineau or Keyshawn Johnson. Let alone that fat prick that used to coach here.
Completely fair. I think you're an anomoly in that respect. Probably only older fans are like that. _
He also doesn't take team photos "dabbing" on the sidelines at the two minute warning. I honestly had no issue with Cam being Cam and having fun and showing personality but now that he walked out of that press conference I'm not sure anymore. If you are going to be that loud when you win you have to take your lumps when you lose.
This is exactly what I was talking about earlier in the thread when I mentioned the subconscious racist double standard. Manning sexually assaulted a chick in college, but do we ever hear about that? No. Manning sulks like a 13 year old and walks off the field without congratulating anyone in the Saints Super Bowl. But does he get crucified by the media? No, he gets a pass. Because this doesn't fit "The Sheriff's" perfect leader career narrative. And listen, I acknowledge that Cam Newton can be a dick. I cringed when he collapsed on the field in despair on Sunday. Yes, he came off as childish in the press conference (but everyone can agree the NFL was at fault for the horrible setup of having both teams in the same room with reporters). But with a huge smile at midfield, he congratulated the Broncos and Manning, who said Newton was humble and great. I think you can acknowledge both that Newton is immature, and that the media has an unfair agenda. This is all very complex.
Cam just needs to be a little more mature, people keep forgetting the dude is only 26 years old. I think at heart he's a good guy, but he just lets his emotions get the better of him. He's always been that way, hopefully he matures and does things a little bit differently. He carried that entire offense the entire season and in the biggest game he failed - it hurts to lose the SB, I actually felt kind of bad for the Panthers. The Media backlash is absolutely unwarranted. I agree in terms of double standards. When it comes to certain athletes and how you present yourself, they will always want to see you fail. It's just like Lebron or Kobe prior to him.
I don't believe it is. Black people have been conditioned to think they're victims in every scenario if something doesn't go there way. Now we get this bullshit. All the time. Personally I like Cam Newton and don't give a shit about him celebrating. The mob of people claiming racism is annoying as fuck though. People don't even know what racism is anymore. Everything is fucking racist.
Just wow!! What a mess Cam Newton: Show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser Posted by Josh Alper on February 9, 2016, 11:11 AM EST Panthers quarterback Cam Newton’s response to losing Super Bowl 50 has been the subject of much discussion in the last couple of days and Newton addressed it while players cleared out their lockers in Charlotte on Tuesday. Newton didn’t have much to say to the media during a sulking postgame appearance in the Levi’s Stadium interview room and briefly walked away from the podium, likely because of what he could hear jovial Broncos players saying on the other side of a partition erected between the two teams. On Tuesday, Newton agreed with those that have called his reaction the behavior of a sore loser. “Show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser,” Newton said, via Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer. “If I offended anyone, that’s cool … I don’t have to conform to anybody’s wants for me. I’m not that guy. This is a great league with or without me. I am my own person.” The problem with that is that plenty of players and coaches that no one would describe as a loser have been able to handle the aftermath of a loss without the reaction that Newton had on Sunday night. It’s a pretty big stretch to say that group has less of a desire to win than Newton has, although giving those answers after the game or some variation that illustrated how hard it was for him to accept losing would have likely elicited much less of a reaction. The group of people who have handled it better include many of his teammates and head coach Ron Rivera, who defended Newton during an appearance on PFT Live Tuesday while adding that the quarterback needs to “learn and grow” from the Super Bowl experience. Rivera also said that he had “no problem” with Newton not diving for his late fumble that set up C.J. Anderson’s touchdown. Newton also addressed that on Tuesday. “I don’t dive on one fumble because the way my leg was — it could have been [contorted] in a way,” Newton said. “OK, you say my effort. I didn’t dive down. I fumbled. That’s fine. But we didn’t lose that game because of that fumble. I can tell you that.” Newton added that no one’s expectations for him are greater than his own and that the Panthers are going to be back in 2016. Their ability to meet that expectation will continue to be discussed for the many months to come before they can return to the field to prove it. https://twitter.com/josephperson
This is absolutely untrue to say Black people have been conditioned to think they are victims. No offense, but you stereotyping is part of the problem. Media has you duped into thinking every black person has this idea. Now you are judging people by their color and not their actual personality. The fact that the media brought up color in the first place in the SB with dumb-ass polls. Pretty much EVERYONE fell for the bait, hook line and sinker.
He's a Fox News parrot - how typical for him to pull the "black people think they're victims" card. Read his posts in any political thread.
It's very typical for a Fox News watcher to feel this way. Fox News is absolute brain-washing. I've read his content in the past, I however won't comment on that.
