How is this statement NOT racist? It is a complete generalization based on some ridiculous stereo type and there is no evidence to support it whatsoever.

Conventional conservative whiteboy quarterback rules? Because all white people are conservative boring snobs that hate having fun, right?

I find that the people accusing whites of some kind of subliminal / subconscious racism are far more racist than the Cam Newton haters.

In Cam's defense, it was kind of silly to have the press conference for the winners right next to the press conference for the losers, only separated by a black curtain. So basically Cam is on the mic and he hears something like, "They are a one dimensional offense, so we followed the game plan. We tried to stop the run and limit his rushing to turn Cam into a pocket QB, and Cam can't do that." I'd be a little annoyed too.

No, "whiteboy" this and "whitey" that is just fine, but criticizing a guy who dances and gloats while he's whupping your ass (while making 0 mention of his race) is racist because~reasons~.
Makes a lot of sense, eh?

It's not just about the words either, it was a generalization based on race, the same behavior that folks are being accused of because they don't care for Cam Newton, but with zero evidence. BUT, I guarantee that if somebody dropped a racial slur against black folks there would be outrage over it. But since it's against evil racist whitey it's all good. Maybe one day folks will realize that racism against white people is still racism.

How come people don't hate Russell Wilson?

    He's a black QB.

Btw, he had one of the worst plays in the history of sports.

And he sat at the table and answered every question.

It would be nice, but that's unlikely. We've already gone full retard as a nation on this subject. Substituting ingredients in a cafeteria dish is cultural appropriation and racist, teaching yoga to people who aren't Indians is racist, or my new personal favorite...only white people can be racist. Everything is racist all the time. It's ridiculous already. If I get a rude cashier or waiter or whatever , I don't automatically assume it's because I'm white and they aren't, I assume the guy is just a dick or having a shitty day,but judging from the last year of life in the US, maybe it is.

And it'll never get better, because there's too much money involved in making sure stupid people stay fighting, from website clicks and ratings, to assholes like Shaun King with his incredibly shady fundraising, to the corporate fat-cats and politicians getting away with whatever the fuck they want while the public is distracted blaming each other. Because the one you should blame is the guy down the street , not the policy makers, right guys? Fucking rubes.

To paraphrase some showboating QB, if Cam doesn't like it, he should've stopped them from winning.

Did Brady sit at the table after the Giants losses? ... Honestly can't remember ... I doubt it though.. And I doubt belichick answered post game questions like Rivera did

i am sure they both did. and i am sure that neither one of them gave you anything to write home about. especially belichick. he blatantly despises the whole thing and loves to give one word answers and walk off when he gets annoyed.

brady is much more cordial with the media. i have no use for them and think the entire process of going in front of morons who never played past high school is silly. they should make the owners come down out of the box and sit there for 10 minutes. that would be interesting.

Funny how it conveniently doesn't go both ways for Cam. He mocks their pouting about his celebrations by challenging them to stop him then pouts when they do. That's because the celebrations by Cam aren't about the success or failure of the play it's simply about him.

    But you're missing the point.

    Actually 2 of them.

No one wants to see the owners. They are a necessary evil. If I never see an owner again I'd be happy.

And the morons who never played past HS are there to get the story so they can tell it to everyone in the world that didn't play past HS or college or never played at all.

It's a product and besides watching the game, fans want to hear and experience as much as possible what the players feel and think and experience.

I get that some people care only about the game but the vast majority want MORE than "just the game".

    Right on the money.

And to further that point , to me the people that love Cam for the reason of he's a black QB and nothing else , are racist themselves in their own unique way. Maybe not in a hatred way. But there are more black people that will root for an athlete based on nothing but skin color than there are white people that root for only skin color.

Honestly when is the last time any of us have seen a black fan wearing a white athletes jersey? I dont think I've ever seen it to be honest.

    GREAT POINT J Stokes!

I think Cam's issues go all the way back to his father peddling his services with the colleges. He was fine while everything went his way. Gotta grow up and learn to face some falls in life like all of us do.

Honestly? Because most black people dont consider Russell Wilson black.

Bi-racial and actually making sense when he speaks doesnt scream "Im black" to the community.

Kinda sad to me really. If more kids idolized players like Wilson instead of Newton we might have a decent enough society in the future.

"Swag", cockiness and being flashy will always attract more people these days.

Yeah but Teddy is my favorite player not on the Jets and he's clearly black. Nobody hates Teddy.

    Except Brad.

It's not the color, it's the personality we don't like.

I hate Teddy, but only because JStokes covers his bedroom in Bridgewater fatheads. Also, he's black, and I hate black players. That's why I love the NFL.
