Sure it's all Flacco? Flacco 37/59 63% completion percentage. That can be divided into two groups of receivers: The good: Corey Davis 6/9 67% catch percentage Elijah Moore 5/7 71% catch percentage Michael Carter 7/9 78% catch percentage Braxton Berrios 5/6 83% catch percentage The bad: Garret Wilson 4/8 50% catch percentage Breece Hall 6/10 60% catch percentage Tyler Conklin 4/7 57% catch percentage Breece Hall had one 14 yd rush, otherwise 5 for 9 yds and a 1.8yd average. He was targeted 10 times but only had 6 receptions, one for 16 yds and 5 others for an average of 4.4 yds. Of course, none of this could be true because JD's draft picks were genius and infallible, at least in the alternate universe pre-season world. Even the vets though, had their rough moments. Carter dropped a passed right in his hands in the goal for example.
Yes, Vinny was the last "fun offense", and before him, Kenny O, and before him Namath. That's decades between "fun offenses". And the name of this team is the "Jets". Maybe they ought to change the name to "Tanks".
And if that happens, Saleh & Co really need to be put on notice that there's no rule against firing a CS before the end of a season.
I don't know about Flacco yesterday. He has no mobility. The Jets looked pretty bad in pass protection. The Ravens are a pretty good Defense too. He was bad, but the fans thinking Mike White or Chris Streveler would do better are likely incorrect. I'd continue with Flacco until Zach returns. Although, if the Jets look terrible again in Cleveland, fans would definitely support seeing Mike White vs the Bengals Part II.
I liked your Post but I am still hopeful about our rookie talent That aside it 100 per cent ..the Jets are an inept football team
Yea I don’t understand that suggestion at all….Streveler is an undrafted FA who played well against scrubs. If the Jets were to make a change it would be White. But that’s not going to happen anyway…..they’re eyeing Zach for week 4. Flacco isn’t the old Flacco but some of the issue is that he didn’t play much at all during the preseason and is still shaking go off the rust - as are a lot of vets. Whether it’s Flacco, White, or Streveler that are still playing behind the same OL which has not had time to gel. The Ravens are a beast defensively. The Browns are no slouch either but they are a step down. This could be a 20-17 type game and the Jets need to simply catch the ball….
I know. So just roll with Flacco for three games? That's the answer? Because the Browns pass rush is one of the best in the NFL.
in all fairness Petty wasn't allowed to do what he was actually good at, that was throwing the ball long, he was made to be a safe pit a pat QB and he was patently unsuited to this role, he was also then assaulted by the Miami D and the Jets OL and he was never gonna be anything again after that hit.
It's too late now for a move. This move was purposely done to make sure the seat is warm for Zach. The organization has put trying to win on the backburner for now so Zachatttaque can not have to worry about a competition. If a QB can't handle a competition tho what's the point? This just solidifies what I have said about this top down BS..... No way in Hell you're gonna tell me Flacco gave us the best chance as a backup..
disagree. the favre 2008 season was a fun offense till his arm gave out the fitz 2015 season was a fun offense too still it's been few and far between
Actually JD has attempted to but his acquisitions don't seem to be panning out either due to injury or the Cheepo Drip effect from ownership. He's acquired some fukin duds tho... Supposed to be his strength yet here we are..
Inept? I think that's a little harsh. Don't forget before JD got here this cupboards were literally empty in regards to talent. Mike Macagnan had an aversion to seeing the Jets succeed. Now, I'm not sure about Saleh and at least in that regard I agree. But the Jets are not inept or else the fans wouldn't be so excited.
The Ravens pressured him over and over and over again with stunts that our OL just whiffed on repeatedly. Holy shit that was a horrible showing by the line...
If a rusty immobile QB behind this OL, who hasn't played a full season since 2017, and has a 6W-17L record during the last five seasons gives the team the best chance to win, delusional thinking can be the only explanation. Any average QB would have put up 17 points in the 1st half against the Ravens, who were sleepwalking thru quarters one and two, while the young Jet "D" was showing some promise.
At this moment in time JD's acquisitions fall into one of three categories: 1. Players who wind up on IR, both high drafts and expensive free agents. 2. Players he bundled picks to move up for. 3. Prime to late prime vets that he bought at a premium in the free agent market who turned out to be exactly who the NFL thought they were. You don't win anything with the 3 types above. In fact you hurt the team overall and that is what JD has done since he started making moves.
