    You forgot

Andy Dalton-Went to the playoffs as a Rookie in a division with the Ravens and Steelers.
Jo Flacco- After this years Pats game different QB next year.
Josh Freeman-Works with Nothing and is better than Sanchez.
Jay Cutler-If he had a line he might have been the story of 2012.
Sam Bradford-Wait until next year. This time last year half this board was saying sanchez was better than Stafford. Sanchez is not in the general vicinity of him. Time will tell.
Carson Palmer-He played with the Bengals. If he had what sanchez had we might have gone to Super Bowl.
Andrew Luck-Gonna go on a limb and say he will be at least as good.

Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert- Get back to me next year. Works in progress!

Jon Kitna- I would take him over Sanchez even at forty!

good post...enjoyed all the stats. tho mark is lacking in #s, he made it up by winning 4 playoff games. did brees have 4 playoff wins in the first three years of his career?

Ftr Palmer was already on that list.

Freeman is a bit of a tough one since he had a bad year this past season after a great year the year before. But averaging his performances, he is a better Qb than Sanchez.

Rookies and unproven players are going too far, though.

Still, not only would I add Flacco, Cutler and Bradford to that list, you also left out Campbell and Shaun Hill. And why not Alex Smith? Won't touch Kitna, heh.

for those who think sanchez sucks, and there are 20+ qbs better than and that MT is a bad GM and wants Rex gone, why the fuck are you still on the boards? go follow some other team that has a franchise qb...go be a fucking frontrunner...gtfooh

wow everyone wants to make up excuses for other qbs, when excuses are given for sanchez, they're discredited?!

lot of hypocrites on this board

The Jets won 4 playoff games despite him. Best Defense, Special teams, Running game and offensive line in the business. For those 20 Qb's that translates into one super bowl at least.

Yawn, Yawn, Yawn! Lets let the guy compete against a real QB in preseason. Then lets see who our starter is. Can we afford Manning and Sanchez with so many guaranteed contracts already on the team? I think not! If we bring in henne and he wons the open competition, what do we do with sanchez? 17 mil to hold a clipboard is ridiculous.

Oh yeah! Sanchez won all 4 playoff games all by himself. he had absolutely great games the likes of which the NFL has never seen. As we speak they are forming his bust for the Hall of Fame!

Where would you rank him? If he isn't a franchise QB how would you describe him -- learning, average, solid, lacking support?

The person you quoted said 4th quarter, playoffs game on the line. You would take from Vick down over Sanchez with the game on the line in the 4th? I find that hard to believe especially since Romo and Rivers and Ryan are on your list plus unproven QB's who haven't even played let alone started a playoff game.

Using this as a guide where would you place him?

Using the 4th quarter, game on line, playoffs

I would put Brees, Mannings, Big Ben ahead of him. Maybe Stafford. Maybe Flacco because of recently that drive. That's it. I went through every team in my head, and that's what I got for 4th quarter, game on line, playoffs. I would also like Vinateri not Brien, Vanderjagt, or Cundiff has my kicker

What about Alex Smith? He got it done under those very conditions against NO.

I actually was on the cusp with him. He then really played very poorly against the Giants at home. I don't remember the game very well since there wasn't much to remember, but I want to say he had a few shots with good field position but couldn't put any points on the board. He could be there, but that's about the only comeback I remember was NO. Flacco had at Pitt and at NE pretty well and few others I think. That's why I put him and not Smith.

Oh add Rodgers to the list. For some reason completely forgot him.

Sanchez over Brady, Rodgers, Rivers, Schaub, Cutler, the other Manning. You view him as a true top 5 QB that can lead us in to the championship. If a trade was offered straight up for any of them you would say no. What additional compensation would you want for a trade for Newton or Ryan?
