Yeah but his YouTube highlight videos were really good and he had a great game for Alabama as he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. He got hurt and came back from his injury showing how tough he was. Todd Mcshay and Adam Schefter are tweeting how good he is and can be at the next level. Do I have this down or what else am I missing?
Tua is learning that the WORST NFL defenses are light-years better than the BEST college defenses he ever saw. Remember when you were learning to drive with your parents ? Remember how sure you were of your driving skills when you drove in the big, empty parking lot or on a side street with no cars or traffic ? Then recall the 1st time you were on a parkway like the GCP or LIE or GSP or NYS Thruway with cars zipping by at 70 MPH. That's what Tua is going through.
According to Miami GM Chris Grier, Tua is the starting QB in 2021. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...iloa-miami-dolphins-starting-quarterback-2021
Tua's record was 7-3 last season. He is on a team stacked with young talent which helps a lot, though he has won 7 games. But its still more project then FQB going into 2021. I just thought it was strange that he was pulled in crunch time. That was a prime learning time for his development and instead they pulled him.
Tua's rookie season: 64.1% completion percentage, 6.3 yards per attempt, 10 TDs, 5 INTs, 87.1 passer rating Josh Allen's rookie season: 52.8% completion percentage, 6.5 yards per attempt, 10 TDs, 12 INTs, 67.9 passer rating
