No Moore this weekend . That makes it easier for mims to get reps. Let’s see what the staff give him.
All these posts raise valid points, pro and con, but I think I'm going to trust JD and Saleh to figure Mims out. They're certainly not infallible, but they have a plan and they're building to it. Hopefully Mims is part of it because he has exceptional physical tools, but there's lots of stuff we don't ever see with players, so we can't really make a good assessment.
I've watched Mims' feet during the Giants game a number of times and they just aren't that nimble. I think his best bet is to hit the weight room so he can out-muscle players better for contested catches and also handle himself at the LOS against physical corners. Plus block.
mims looked really good out there. I'm sure we'll find ways to get him on the field. plus injuries happen so i'm not conerned
Mims is a fantastic blocker already. Which is why I thought he would fit this system like a glove. WRs who can block are golden in an outside zone scheme.
Interesting observation. As with so many problems athletes have, it starts with the feet. Good catch.
I’ve held my opinion here until now. Play Mims as much as possible this year and then decide. He obviously has talent. At least he has size and speed. Whether he fits this offense or gels with the current franchise QB can not be determined unless it’s on the field. It’s probably not a playoff year for us so just do it. Play Mms. Cutting him would be a stupid move. PLAY MIMS. End this thread.
