I dont know how far into the Playoffs we will go, but I am going to predict a 12-4 season and a AFCE Championship and 1st round bye.
What I want, is to win enough games to get the bye week, and then force the AFCG to be held in the new stadium. Against Indy. When our defense and ground game beats them up on a snowy windy afternoon, Bill Polian will push for a rule change that the Championship Games be awarded to fair weather cities, like the Super Bowl.
Super bowl victory! but in reality it will be what the jets do... every other year there good...so you known whats next
This is going to sound like a downer and I don't mean it to be. I am just predicating this on what I think Sanchez is going to do this year. I think Sanchez is going to struggle a bit. It is still his sophomore season and inexperienced QB's still have a significant amount of trouble in year 2. I can not see Sanchez bucking that trend. Not because he doesn't have the talent or work ethic, I think he does. I think it is simply a factor that he is still more inexperienced than a typical starting NFL QB at this point. I think he will show flashes of brilliance, games that make everyone curse his existence and most games somewhere in between that. My guess is Sanchez will lower his int's. I think his stats are going to be more 60/40 td's to int's. He will look improved in the respect that he wont have as many games where people will be chanting Clemens name. So I would say 18 td's to 15 int's....just a guess. That would be significant improvement stat wise but in reality he will still struggle, though not nearly as much as last year. So I am tempering my enthusiasm even though it is still ridiculously early to make a prediction. I think the Jets will be improved yet still have a similar record. The Jets schedule at this point looks a lot tougher and given my feelings on Sanchez I say, 7-9 to 10-6 is the range I am expecting. I think it is possible for the Jets to be improved in many areas yet still have a similar record..... we shall see.
Home games Buffalo Bills Win Miami Dolphins Win New England Patriots Win Baltimore Ravens Win Cincinnati Bengals Win Houston Texans Win Green Bay Packers Loss Minnesota Vikings Win Road games Buffalo Bills Win Miami Dolphins Win New England Patriots Loss Cleveland Browns Win Pittsburgh Steelers Loss Denver Broncos Win Chicago Bears Win Detroit Lions Win 13-3 Super Bowl Champs!!!
It's way too early to get a read on next season. If you tell me that Sanchez is going to continue to develop and that Kris Jenkins is healthy then I see a real shot at a Super Bowl next season. If Sanchez is still working things out and a few injuries happen the Jets could easily go 8-8.
I'll be disappointed if we don't make the Conference game again, I'm expecting this team to be stronger than last year's. When you get to the last four there are no bad teams and anything can happen.
Right now, I'd say 10-6/11-5. The schedule looks pretty tough and Sanchez will most likely have a few ugly games thrown in.
I would love for us to make the Super Bowl, but right now I'm staying grounded and just expecting playoffs.
some things that i hope to see 'changed' under rex ryan reign of terror: 1- no more losing to the bills at home. every year. fuck that. 2- feeling like we won the sb when we eek out a win against ne. i want our wins against ne to feel like any other win, not like some super human feat. 3- with our #1 defense, i want our new stadium to become known as the house of pain, much like the steeler's of old. 4- i dont want my friends to laugh anymore when the find out im a life-er jet fan. 5- most important, im hoping for an upswing in cheer talent, i want the flight attendants to become known as the cowgirls-north.
There is no worse feeling than waking up monday morning knowing that you just lost to the buffalo bills.
