Fury. Great movie. Haven't seen a WWII like this since Saving PR. Not on the same plane but a great war movie. Great cast, gut wrenching, edge of your seat, white knuckle, sad, triumphant, draining, nerve wracking, all of it. Shia Lebeouf is not a douche. Brad Pitt never disappoints. See it on the big screen, beautifully shot, massive sound, great soundtrack. Saw it in RPX and it was outstanding in that format. _
Was going to see it last night, but had a sudden death in the family today. I look forward to seeing that film tomorrow or next week
Funny enough I've heard about the movie for so long, I thought it would have a bigger cinema release. Not a big fan I guess, but interested now for sure
There is no reason to start "liking" him again, but this movie gives you no further reason to dislike him. Plays a great character and does it well. _
Pretty good trailers too. Exodus- Ridley Scott remake of ThevTem Commandments. Christian Bale is probably the only actor alive that could match Heston as Moses. Edgerton can't match Brenner as Rameses, but I do like him as an actor. Special, effects are going to be outstanding, the SFX in 1956 were LOLworthy. Red Sea, burning bush, etc. Not sure about Jesse Pinkman as Joshua. Interstellar by Chris Nolan. Birdman. The Imitation Machine about cracking the enigma machine to win WWII. Seth Rogen and James Franco in The Interview. _
I saw Fury earlier today...Love WWII movies, and this is a great one. *SPOILER* I did have a couple of beef with some of the story like the pussy typist all of sudden getting the balls to do stuff and kill...And Brad Pitt all of sudden wanting to take on a brigade of SS soldiers, basically putting his tank platoon at risk of dying...While the whole film he had been saying how he wants to have his guys make it through the war...This was one battle they had no chance of surviving. *END SPOILER* Regarding Shia, honestly the dude may be a douche in real life and must have mental problems but he is one fantastic actor. He clearly is one of the best in the business at performing scenes of emotion at a high level. Dude really knows what he is doing... David Ayer is going to direct DC's Suicide Squad...Can't wait to see that film. The whole cast had great chemistry and he knows how to film a ensemble.
Yeah I read an article on the best and worst of Fury and they mentioned those 2 items and three others but I'll cut him some slack for the sake of the story. _
