I want to see Steve Spanuolo's defense practice up on their ballhawking and go for the INTs and bring some pressure. I need to know for sure what's up with Clemens' INTs compared with how Sanchez will handle that. That's what I'd really like to see, both of these guys tested that way with pressure. I've said before that Clemens' starting chances might very well come down to this INT thing going on. If he looks like hell tonight against some pressure and makes poor choices, Sanchez will be our man a lot earlier than we figured and Clemens could very well put the final coffin nail in his NFL starting chances.
Being that so many players are out of tonight's game I'm not expecting a whole lot from the passing game. My interest is entirely in how Shonn Greene performs tonight, as well as some of the defensive prospects we have.
I am goingto try and watch Gholston, Douglas, and Scott up front, and hope to see some of Sheppard, Ihedigbo, and Lowery in the secondary but that's always hard to see. On Offense, I'd like to see the performance of the QBs, espeially Sanchez under pressure, and also Shonn Greene.
You left out my main man and a guy we should have drafted last year - Joe Flacco. But yeah, he matured pretty quick so maybe Sanchez can do the same.
none of them won anything in their 1st season, but they did very well. rothlisberger and Aaron Rodgers are the only juniors coming out of college to succeed in the NFL in quite some time. the expectations are way too high this year for rookie QBs. i feel bad for Sanchez and Stafford due to what Ryan and Flacco did last year.
I wanna see what Harris looks like coming off an injury plagued '08 and if he still has that explosion to the ballcarrier, as well as on blitz stunts, that he showed his rookie year.
No, I predict the opposite. I say he plays it very close to the vest. I think Clemens is the one with the 3 INTs and that will really piss me off, because everything in my body tells me we should be starting Clemens and letting Sanchez observe from the sidelines before being thrown to the wolves. But if Clemens stinks up the field, Ryan will have no choice but to declare Sanchez the winner. Then, if we start him and he has a terrible time of it, what then? Go back to Clemens? This delay for the past 3 years in bringing in a legit Franchise QB is all coming home to roost now... the whole tail end of the Pennington era... not giving Clemens the time for us to read him and know what we've got, instead bringing in Favre. It's way overdue now, and I fear we're going to pay the price perhaps for not having addressed this years ago (as in go after Flacco or even Jay Cutler before him). But no, now we're down to these two tonight, and no further along in the QB selection process than we were about 3 years ago. Unbelievable. I hope it goes well tonight, I really do. I am SO pulling for Clemens to bring it on and show a real good game... we need this desperately of him, because 16 college starts is not enough.
good call. different uses of NT's , DE's , and see what bart is all about. and see what rhodes is doing.
