Wayne Hunter who is still the goddamn RT!! I miss Damien Woody, at least he was a leader for the OL and made sure that everyone stays protected. Never realized that Woody was an elite RT until he was gone. As they say, you don't appreciate it until it's gone.
I voted offense, Hunter included. The O-line needs a serious upgrade. When teams make their cuts Tanny better get busy
Don't forget Hunter was coming off injury and was against one of the best D-linesmen in the league in JPP.
I am extremely annoyed that the Jets still have Wayne Hunter on the payroll, he is a disaster. He sucked last year and how on earth can Sanchez have a fighting chance with this imbecile allowing defenders to level the quarterback. But, this seems to be the Jets way the past few years. The team had been in dire need of a pass rusher, they never addressed the problem until finally signing Aaron Maybin late last year and drafting Coples this season. Hunter was freaking horrendous last season and he's back again. Being a Jets fan is like living in some alter-reality where up is down, right is wrong and every year it all ends in agony. Go Jets.
You saw him last year. PLEASE, PLEASE don't make excuses for Hunter. He's not an NFL starter. Don't blame it on the preseason. He had an entire regular season of suck last year. Even the brightest of Sunshiners can't make excuses for Hunter.
What annoys me is the mistakes. The Jets are constantly shooting themselves in the foot... this hasn't changed from last season which is REALLY disappointing. Between McKnight and the penalties the Jets are making it even harder on themselves then it needs to be. They take an uphill battle and increase the incline. This is extremely frustrating. I won't say the fans because every fan should be pissed off right now. I don't like the agenda that some have in trying to pin everything on Sanchez but oh well assholes and opinions you know?
I agree, but if he has made progress since last year, this game wouldn't be a great way to measure it. That's all I'm saying. JPP is a beast. I'd hope that at even the darkest of darksiders would admit that. I worry about JPP much more than Mario Williams.
Some of the "Media" talking heads! Example: Adams - "Three of the New York Jets last six games on are already in prime time, even without the possibility of more being moved to prime through flexible scheduling. No wonder: Even if the Jets are below .500 by then, networks could still win because mediagenic Tim Tebow might be the team's starting quarterback." - Reference: A USA article today (not enough posts, to post the link).
Poll should have had an All of The Above. I choose Hunter but the offense has looked really bad but I still don't want Schottenheimer back.
Jets are a decent QB, RT and stud WR away from being a legitimate Super Bowl contender. But without those 3 positions filled - we are looking at a 6 or 7 win season. Rex has got to learn his team will not be successful if he only stacks one side of the ball. Should have addressed the RT position before anything else and we still don't have a right tackle just 3 weeks from starting the season.
It was a toss up between Hunter and pissy fans. I find the fans more "annoying" so I went with that. If the question was more "what are you most worried about" or something like that then Hunter would have got it for sure.
