If this is true. Take the second rounder, package it with with our #4 to move up two spots with the Saints, and get Leinart, then this would be the best deal ever. We essentially would get Leinart, Ramsey and a first rounder for ABE.

A 1st next year in the NFL is equal in value to a 2nd this year. So essentially the trade is the same as getting Ramsey and 2 second rounders for Abraham. Which to me is a very good deal. As getting rid of Abraham's 8.3 millon salary allows the team at some point, maybe not this year, to sign an additional 2-3 players. Plus this deal would have the added advantage of allowing to us to root against the Redskins next year.

 

I saw the post on Jetsinsider about 45 minutes ago. He said he heard it on WFAN "rumor" the guy has over 2,000 posts so not sure..If this would happen" I'm going streaking"..

 

Agreed, but we all want the Abe for Denver pick this year (29). So if its at worst the 29 next year, we get an extra 2nd this year and a QB that we wanted. Its not like the 1st rounder this year is taking us to the SB for '06-'07. We are in a rebuilding mode, so stocking up assetts is a good move. Lets do it!

It's strange. Almost every move we make, Jet fans intially hate it. As time goes on, we either come around, or we still hate it! Seriously, how many Jet moves get a favorable early reaction?

And I'd hate to see Washington get so much better, but hey, better than the Cowboys.
