If washington is this stupid, I might be able to get a job as their GM. This would be ridiculous. It wouldn't even be considered severely overpaying -- it would be considered outright RAPE. There's no way this is happening.
Actually, I am excited. It is one of the best, if not "the best" off-season I can ever remember. We were in purgatory during the season and normally with this time of year comes boredom, but actually, it has been anything but boring. I think I will go with patient for now. If Bush falls to the #4 overall pick, then for about 15 minutes I will have a sweat-panic attack; then I hope I hear words that I had written off along time ago.
If true, THIS IS THE HEIST OF THE CENTURY. We can use the 2 second rounders to move b ack into the bottom of round 1 if necessary. We get 2 #1s in 2007, we get our backup QB, and we drop about 6.5M off the cap. I'd take a 2nd this yr and 1st next yr for Abraham ALONE, throwing in Ramsey is the icing. HEIST.
This also puts us in a position to pass on this years QB if we like next years crop better. With two ones we can probably trade up next year if need be to get a QB and really take a long look at Ramsey. This deal would give us some flexability.
I never heard the radio report, but if joe benigno said it was a rumor...it was just that. Doesn't mean a deal won't happen though.
