The only thing that makes sense is that JD was told not to spend any more money on the QB position. No GM in their right mind would sit on their hands and watch the house burn down this early in the season.
Yeah there’s no way this can be Saleh’s call that’s for sure. I don’t think you’re right because I don’t think Woody really cares about that stuff. But I would agree that it’s such a wild situation to keep running him out there without bringing any real backup in that we almost have to think irrationally.
Saleh taking alot of heat for this..... but WHO else is he going to put in at QB right now? Last year he benched Zach for freakin' Chris Streveler in a "must-win" game
Even if we remove any hope to get another QB in here to actually play, it doesn’t make any rational sense why there’s not someone on the practice squad learning the offense. What is the organization going to do if Wilson rolls his ankle? Randall Cobb is backing Boyle up next week?
Just trying to find some rational, this could be a situation where there is a verbal agreement with Rodgers that we won't sign any veteran QBs.
100% especially considering that Zach doesn't just suck, but he's gotten hurt and missed time the last 2 seasons. That falls on Joe Douglas....
At this point Zach getting hurt would be the best thing that ever happened to this franchise since they refuse to replace him.
but why does that matter? when arod is back, its his team...that vet qb could be back and you let zw or boyle go
Agreed Saleh is taking the heat coz he’s the only one in front of the microphone, and he’s got no options so what’s he supposed to say? JD needs to get in front of the mic and explain himself. This is his decision after all.
Matt Ryan obviously was interested and did call but the Jets fumbled and said they weren't interested. Probably only option is now Wentz or Nick Foles.
I imagine if the week goes on and we haven't signed anyone the rage-0-meter around here is going to be off the charts. In fact, in all my years of following Jet bumbling, this is uncharted bumbling territory. Speechless is the only adjective I can come up with.
Just gonna say that Douglas is a coward for making Saleh explain the impossible to the media while hiding himself from scrutiny.
Maty Ryan’s arm also started to look dead in early 2020. I remember watching him at Lambeau throwing struggling to throw ten yard outs through mild wind. Why would he leave that job? He doesn’t have a chance to win a SB here, and he’s getting paid millions by CBS and the Colts at the same time to call games.
Yeah true I forgot Jets know something about Zach Wilson that the entire world doesn't, couple more games and he will finally channel his inner Tom Brady just a couple more games.
