The Jets secondary play was not at all garbage yesterday it was the lone bright spot on the team yesterday. Night Train Lane with safety support from Ronnie Lott couldn't contain Moss if Brady had 5 plus seconds to get the ball to him.

Apparently not, I saw Brady looking confussed and ready to eat the ball and than realizing that there was absolutely no one around him several times. QB's practice unloading the ball on a count and Brady was actually uncomfortable holding the ball as long as he did because it goes against his training. The secondary wasn't an issue yesterday, you can't cover NFL WR for more than 3 or 4 seconds and our secondary was doing it on almost every single passing down.

I know DBs can't stay with WRs for a prolonged period of time.
The linebackers also deserve plenty of blame for Moss going off.
Hobson, Thomas, Vilma, and Barton looked confused all day.
I can't kill Ellis, Robertson, and K. Coleman. It's exceedingly difficult for 3-4 linemen to generate a pass rush when the opposing team has 6+ players in to block them. The linebackers have to play more effectively.
I saw Moss absolutely blow by Revis several times. Revis didn't even bump him. The ball was snapped and Moss was gone.
The safeties frequently looked confused. Barrett had a poor game. Some of these plays occurred on quick passes. Of course, Brady is going to destroy the Jets when he is given enough time to bake an apple pie in the pocket, but he also diced up the Jets on quick developing pass plays.

I don't understand how you can write that the secondary was not an issue yesterday.

Was the Pats secondary an issue yesterday? Had the Jets secondary played behind the pats front 7 the Pats D would have been substantially better than it was.

    Re: the question
To me, the Patriots secondary was okay yesterday. I didn't find it particularly good or bad.

    Re: the statement
    Pure conjecture.

The Pats secondary sucked yesterday they were outright awful as they were in the last real game they played. And that was with Pennington have no time to pass and the Pats not being in any way forced to blitz. I find it amazing that you think their secondary was okay but ours is a big problem.

We did not double team him, we had LBs covering him early then used Dbs to cover him after that and he was shut down after that 1st drive

Wes Welker is the type of football player everyone should want on their team. Although not the most talented or physically gifted he does all the little things right and does whatever anyone ask of him. He was our only dependable receiver last year and we got rid of him.
