Great character kid, should be a valuable pass rusher and will go tooth and nail to win a spot on this defense. Easy guy to root for given what he's dealing with right now as a father.

Here's to a Sione Pouha 2.0 but as an OLB.

Yeah if it wasnt clear that we were staying away from Holmes and Winslow types in this draft , this pick really hammered that point home.

Seemed like our 3rd and 4th round picks are considered reaches..but our 5th-7th rounders all were praised as being great value.

I like this guy was surprised he lasted this long. He's a little older than other because of his Mormon mission but this was great value at 7.

Watched his tape against Stanford today and I was impressed. He is strong, absolutely relentless and has decent speed. Total steal!

my hope is that we're looking at Pace's eventual replacement over the next few years, high expectations for this man despite his lower pick.

we may just get 3 starting seventh rounders in a row with Reilly, Bohanon and Allen. how cool is that?

My best comparison is Jim Leonhard. Too short, too thin, but top of the line football instinct and won't let a damn thing stand in his way of being successful.

I don't know how well he'll do, I'm just saying that's his mindset.

I think the argument of him being 26 as a bad thing is just beyond stupid. How often do players actually play 10+ years? Let alone 7th round picks.. And in addition to that, how often do players spend their whole career with one team anyway? I have zero problem with him being "older."

He is 6'5", weighs 245, ran 4.66 on his pro day and benched 26 reps. I'd say he has most of the measurables, although he doesn't have an explosive first step.

Here's his game against Standford, which made me impressed:

Barring any injury set backs, I think he'll make the team.

Ehhhh, nothing impressive on that tape. Wasn't near the ball alot. Didn't really win alot of battles. Will have to flash alot more than that to make the team. I'm trying to picture him in some role and really can't. Appearantly, alot of people like the pick in Round 7 so I guess we'll see.

Agree. I just watched it in its entirety. Made 2 run-of-the-mill tackles that were there for the making. Made no impact plays and looked honestly like he got pushed around a lot. Did not put pressure on QB, except for 1 play (scheme/ blitz where he was left with only RB coverage up the middle and caused a "pressure"). Hopeful and open-minded but if this is his best film this guy is more likely going to be selling insurance in 6 months.

I can see him being moved inside to the Ted spot, he doesn't have the speed or size to play SOLB effectively.

Bart Scott was a slow SOLB, ineffective, but shined when Rex moved him inside as lead blocker.
