Do they place defense too? Maybe this explains the poor effort by the Dallas D

There's your two young defensive stalwarts making a key stop....the game turned on this series.

A lot of things to like about yesterday's game.

A very encouraging article about him in the NY Post. He's definately shown flashes the past two games he needs to learn how to finish plays, get the sacks. Great to know he's toughing it out instead of taking his sweet time coming back from a injury.

It's early but it's looking like he's more Jamal Adams warrior, true Jet mindset than um some other guys I shall not mention.

Technique, Technique, Technique. Leo is relies too much on athleticism, his inability to shed blocks is pretty sad. Won't get you far in the NFL.

Did anyone else think the Dallas offensive lineman that Q beat deliberately tried to roll up on the back of his legs? The falling dpwn part looks like it might have been real, but the roll afterwards looks deliberate to me.

Looked like leo got penetration allowing q to work down the line. If leo gets stood up right there the whole backside pursuit is sealed off.

Good catch...I went back and watched it. You sir are correct. After Q pushed passed the lineman, he went down then roll-whipped his legs towards Q. We should teach that technique to OUR lineman since the play most of the game on their backs.

Yup he did....then the lineman that Leo beat grabs Leo's jersey near the neck and prevents/hinders Leo's advance towards Zac.

I was hoping the Jets would take one of the pass rushers, but was okay with the Williams pick because if Williams did turn out to be an Aaron Donald type NT, he would make it easier for others on the D-line to get to the QB. So far that hasn't happened. Last night, Brady had all night to throw the ball, even behind an O-line that experts have said isn't that good. Jet defense made the Pats O-line look like all-world last night.

I actually think he's going to be a good player because in the early stages he looks like he can get a push. I still think it was the wrong move though. We haven't tried to get an edge rusher since Gholston. Josh Allen really was the pick. So much college production, multi year starter in the SEC with a ton of sacks without a ton of talent around him.

Quinnen Williams was a one year starter on the defense with the most NFL talent in college every year. He has the potential to be good because he's a good kid, he's young and seems impressionable and most importantly he's an absolutely load. Hopefully he can be taught to hand fight better.

I can’t say I’ve watched Allen play, but he has five sacks in seven games so far this season. That sort of production would be nice.

From an article on NFL.com - "The Jets' defense has been inconsistent when it comes to applying strategic pressure. For example, they have the lowest percentages of pressure in the red zone in both attempted pressure (16%) and disruption (12.2%), with zero sacks."

Some kind of pass rush would be nice - I don't feel too strongly either way about the Q pick especially as Leo is almost certainly gone after this season but we really need to find a pass rush from somewhere

Watching the draft I thought Josh Allen was a lock..... unfortunately a common theme with this team

so we "only" blitz 16% of the time in the red zone and disrupt the play 12% of the time? if that is what is being said here I don't see any issue
