Can we sign Ducre already. At least the guy has potential and had a good camp. Chargers snuck him onto their PS.
People keep talking about the secondary, but this season is more about the offense. You can win games without a strong secondary, but you can't consistently win with an anemic offense. The secondary will get burned at times this year. We need to make up for that by scoring more TDs. Geno Smith - Eric Decker - Chris Johnson's performances are far more important than the secondary. If our offense steps it up this year, the CB situation will be in the far back of our minds.
I count 6 cbs 4 safeties and AA. With Milner and AA questionable to play Sunday we will probably be a little heavy at the cb position. That happens with injuries.those guys still take up roster spots. Desperate will be if J.I. Lobs a pick or 2 to Houston for Joseph
Idzik was busy making sure he and family have reservations in Hanover, NH on 9/20 when Dartmouth plays Central Connecticut. Big Green over Gang Green, sorry lol. I am not sure if Idzik is even looking at highlights. Pretty obvious he just wants any number of CBs out there, quantity over quality and by chance we pick a winner.
You're right about 6 corners, I missed Dixon being waived. And I'm not even considering Joseph, that would be a shit trade considering the non moves this offseason at CB. I'll wait and see at this point, but the secondary in terms of pass protection is fucking scary, in a bad way, and maybe that's having an effect on me.
It's ok. Corner is thin, we know. However the safeties are better, pass rush is better and offense is better. It feels weird that what was one of the strongest positions in the league is now possibly the weakest, but it's going to work out.we are not in bad shape just built differently
You're not convincing me at safety. Pryor is a wild card, but the rest of them are known commodities. Why is anyone supposed to feel comfortable in the back end?
the thing we have going for us on the back end is sure tackling at the very least. let rex scheme it out to keep the receivers in front and there are not going to be long gains. mix that with a decent pass rush and we got a bend don't break defense that will keep us in games. that is the worst case scenario we are looking at
Years ago we(multiple people) on this board said flashy secondaries and overpaid ones do not win you the ship
Those same people were carrying Idzik over there shoulders and cheering when he saved a few bucks and didn't sign a corner in free agency, now we are staring at a huge problem
Lankster is m0re valuable that the last 4 corners and last safety on our roster because he is such a beast on STs.
Adams has experience playing press and returning punts. He is a good pick-up IMO considering the pool of players Idzik has to pull from.
Right. Dude, that doesn't even make any sense. He knows a whole heck of a lot more than any of us about talent and playing ability.
