This is a deep WR class.

I think you're underselling this WR class if you think that all that is available in the 2nd round is depth receivers.

I'm happy with the pick we were very thin at S and he def fills a huge hole.
I wanted Vaccaro last year and he turned out pretty good. I'm excited to see what Pryor brings to the table.
In other news I'm really irked at the Browns for trading with the Bills lol so not looking forward to playing Watkins twice a year.
I'm hoping for a WR in round 2 Latimer, Landry, Adams, Bryant... maybe even Lee.
Excited for the rest of the draft !!

I have a feeling we trade a 4th rounder to move into the top 5 later today :)

Love all the homers on here who are saying this guy was at the top of their draft board after the fact. Would love to see who actually posted ahead of time who wanted him.

  9. I have no problem w/ Pryor the player or the fit.

But I'm disgusted by them passing on offense AGAIN. They don't respect the offensive side of the ball OR they are just flat out afraid of pulling the trigger on a skill guy.

Decker,CJ,& Ford are a start. But you can't rebuild an offense solely via FA. You need to draft skill.

I don't wanna hear "there are WRs in later rounds". People around here have been saying that for a decade now.Who knows..maybe some Jet fans are afraid to draft skill just as much as the team appears to be.Is there some sort of security blanket that I don't grasp that causes so many of you to constantly choose to pass on skill players early in favor of defense/OL?

I don't trust this FO to handpick the right guy out of this second wave of skill talent. These are the guys who truly need quality evaluations & development. Not all of the marquee names left are slam dunks. That's why they are still on the board. Jets don't exactly have a good history with 2nd/mid round guys.Reggie Rembert,Stephen Hill, Windrell Hayes, Alex Van Dyke names just flow right off the tongue. They can't identify and/or develop skill players.

5 straight years of defense in round 1 when the passing attack is stuck somewhere in the 1960's in a modernized passing league. It's infuriating. It sends a bad message. They needed to identify a play maker who could come in immediately & provide a spark to this offense. Brandin Cooks made perfect sense. It was time to force the issue. We missed out/passed on so many in the past.Austin,Harvin,Bryant,Mcfadden..the list goes on & on.

I'm all for BPA & I think Pryor could be a pro bowler. The Jets have needed a safety forever. I get that. But more than a play maker on offense?? I have a hard time believing there was that much of a difference in grade between Pryor & Cooks.Offense should have taken precedent.

No Pro bowl/All pro skill player drafted since 1996. Doesn't that bother anyone? I guess we take our chances that Terry F'n Bradway will actually pick the right pass catcher among a crowded pack. That's if there isn't another god damn defender higher on their board.

I think it's more a case of people being glad that we got the draft's best safety, rather than reaching for a receiver that could be had in the second round.

Safety has the lowest bust rate, and Pryor + Allen could be great against dual tight end sets. Pryor can also shore up a very good run D and help make it great, and he also has the ability to generate turnovers and lay big hits, the kind that make guys afraid and apt to drop the ball or fumble.

I like this pick better than a cornerback since I know he will be good even as a rookie, and he will help the secondary. This guy is a potential difference maker back there, which is just what we need behind our d line.

I always preferred Pryor over Dix. At CB, I preferred Fuller over Dennard, but wouldn't have minded the latter.

At 18, I did want Cooks, but understand why they went the direction they did.

My opinion on drafting safeties in the first round has evolved based on how the rules are now. Unless a safety has exceptional range and can cover the slot (i.e., Earl Thomas, Jarius Byrd, Eric Berry...etc.), I see no value in drafting them in the first round.

I'm really glad we got Pryor instead of that guy! I wonder if he will end up getting suspended like Justin Blackmon.

As dumb as that picture is, Justin Blackmon is like twenty times dumber. ClitNDicks will have to work to achieve that level of stupidity.

Well, Walter Football (yeah yeah I know how the majority feel about the site) called the Pryor pick for the Jets in their final mock...they missed on a lot of picks too but they nailed the Jets (and the dolphins)...still he missed 24 out of 32 picks..about average for a first round mock

Hey well maybe Walter the Fuckhead will nail his Jets pick again when they choose first overall next season like he "predicted".

Guessing right doesn't make an expert if you only get 8 out of 32. All it makes you is lucky, and not that lucky.

Not many people on this board did. I've seen all the mocks.
