Yep and he buried us 2-3 games. Two passes from Wilson to Hall went for monster yards to the 1 yard line. inches for the TD. Run to score on both. Whoopy do with the TD comparison.
I agree. I was just saying that beforehand, I didn't think JD would trade for a RB or that it was necessary, but I'm glad he did.
Here's a link to a great article from the New York Post detailing how sharp Robinson and picks things up quickly. https://nypost.com/2022/10/25/james-robinson-will-catch-on-to-jets-games-quickly/
Me too. Can't wait to see Robinson charging out of the backfield. Joe Douglas has done it again. He not only brought a clutch, young talented back to the Jets but, a humble, decent guy who seems so down to earth and will just gel with the rest of the team.
I wish this game was down here (JAGS game).... he want to beat them bad.... and I would enjoy that in person
I wonder if J Rob will have enough practice time and study to be activated for Sunday. His apparent knee soreness isn't an issue. If he does play what are the chances he's behind Ty Johnson as the 3rd back?
True, but unfortunately this closely aligns to society at large. If you eliminate Patriots fan the number falls to 85%.
A few interesting points from the interview. He is not familiar with the offense. Needs to learn, starting with the basics. My thinking is plays will be limited this Sunday. It appears something is wrong with his knee. He has been draining his knee periodically. He passed a physical, but still, something must not be 100% if he has to get this all the time. Coming of torn Achilles too. This probably explains why he was traded for relatively little. Hopefully he can hold up for the season. What's interesting is that he can be our #1 back and used heavily or #3, who could be insurance for Carter, who was injured a lot last year. I do feel better with him on the roster. Even if he gets beat out by Ty Johnson, that means Ty is playing well, because James is solid at the very least. This move at worst is insurance we have a decent running back rotation and a solid extra back in case of injury and at best a #1 RB who is better than Carter. Solid move by JD for a relatively cheap price. Could be a really good move if James can find his rookie form, though I am not sure how likely this is, given the injuries.
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/travis-etienne-james-robinson-hid-134537964.html Lots of praise from Etienne, who would rather still be playing with Robinson. I give props to Etienne for heaping that praise and appreciation for how Robinson helped his game. Robinson's a good, hard nosed, high character RB that I think everyone will like. Shades of Bilal Powell (who was very underrated also) with Thomas Jones upside. Welcome on!
The more I think about the JR trade, the more I praise JD for doing it. I'm thinking that he brought in JR, specifically, to play the Bills (or any high-powered offense). The D is probably gonna need help from the O, to keep the Bills O off the field. A human bowling ball is the perfect type of RB, for ball control, to slow the game down. If the OL can just be average in the Bills game, JR could be key to keeping the D rested, & the Bills O on the sidelines.
Class act and let’s hope the running hard is only gonna continue with us and for a long time love this guy https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/duval-thank-you-01ggcy8v9hhn/amp
