And again, you really are confusing two totally different subjects because you appear not to accept that I have a different opinion from yours, or you don't like my opinions. That YOU choose to not flip flop when discussing the Jets and every other team is YOUR issue and not mine. It has NOTHING to do with my mantra about the Jets getting a franchise QB. You can continue to think so, but you'd be either wrong or intentionally ignorant. And you could never hurt my feelings on the Internet about football whilst using substandard logic or lack of brightness. _
Fairly well i wont keep going back and forward with this, you know who you really are and i dont need to go offtopic here, it would be classless thing you afford to be quite some times but its totally fine for me .
I'm really having a difficult time understanding what you are saying. If you are going to troll me, please at least make it intelligible, I'd be perfectly willing to debate the issue with you. My opinion on Sammy Watkins has ZERO to do with where he was drafted. Even if I thought it was the worst draft move in league history, that has no impact on my views of him purely as a football player. I don't care how other teams build, whether teams draft QBs or not (although I am keenly interested in them). My mantra about building the JETS is all about finding a true franchise QB, again Geno or someone else. My Jet mantra and my thoughts on players around the league are not really interconnected (tangential yes if they were someone I would have preferred we draft). If I was a Bills fan, I might agree with you. But I'm not. The dude IMHO is going to be a stud in the league. Regardless of his draft position. And regardless of who the Jets franchise QB is. Do you understand now? _
The sammy watkins pick was kinda scary UNTIL they traded Stevie J... Back to having no worries about the Buffalo Bums
Watkins is a great player, but injuries are piling up at an alarming rate. almost have to plan on him missing stretches of time at this point. Shaq Lawson also undergoing shoulder surgery, will miss next 4-6 months. that usually kills progress in a rookie season. offseason injury news is rough. glad its not us..
Bills traded up for a WR, who if he hits will be a huge contract on the outside. How was that possibly a good move given that what is currently happening is another likely option?
there is no one formula for drafting which works. Trading up, trading back, or standing pat all have examples of success and failure. It's all about getting quality players, especially in the first round. for example, look at what the Browns did in this trade.. rather than taking Watkins themselves, or going with Kalil Mack, they drafted these guys instead: (2014 1st round from Buff) Justin Gilbert - bust (2015 1st round from Buff) - Cameron Erving - still early, but a depth Olineman to this point (2015 4th round from Buff) - Ibreheim Campbell - a marginal special teams contributor
The ultimate in 20-20 hindsight. No one was looking at OBJ as being anywhere near as good as Watkins. In hindsight it looks obvious. _
Hey, it's your team. Seriously, anyone who understands probability would know that trading two first rounders for one is a bad idea.
Well that's just stupid. Odell is an incredible talent, kind of a douchebag but he is the real deal. But no one knew that pre-draft. _
Man there were so many great WRs in that discussion. A lot of people here really liked Mike Evans, Jordan Matthews, Marqise Lee even though he's injury prone as hell now. Hell even Jarvis Landry was getting more love at the time.
