We can always trade up to draft Mariota...offer the Raiders a 1st, Geno, Vick, and Simms. That way the Raiders wont have to waste their first rounder to build a sucky qb situation.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will not draft a QB LOL

They just drafted Bortles last year!

I think we can agree we need to lose out to have any sort of realistic shot at Mariota. It's more important than anything that the Bucs can get at least a win or 2....if not then I would hope they take Winston over Mariota since Winston is already in Florida lol...but reality is they won't and you are gonna hear at the draft....with the 5th selection in the nfl draft the New York jets select jameis Winston, Florida state....in which case I will be sick for a long time...that win against the steelers really came back to bite us in the ass...along with the ridiculous 12 men on the field call against the bucs last week after they were in field goal range...

Get Harbaugh, attempt to draft Mariota and we could be onto something

Who's to say Idzik will be around to make the picks?

No one said they were. They will be in a great position to trade down.

Tampa Bay is definitely the team that is most likely to screw us with getting Mariota. Maybe they like Winston better? Lol

Do you guys find it interresting that last year around this time it was all about getting Teddy Bridgewater? Who is to say Mariotta will go first? Maybe he will still be there at 5 for Jets. Is he really a lock to go in the first 3 picks? This is the first year I am interested in the draft talk this early so any input is welcome.

And 2 years ago it was Geno going number #1. Sure things may change but it won't matter if we're not in position to take whoever that guy may be.

Yep. It's funny how everyone forgets about that. Draft stock can change amazingly fast. It's no different than playoff seeding and Superbowl favorites. A couple of months makes a world of difference.

Its a shame that we so little faith in our GM. Its also a shame that our GM really doesn't have a great track record for draft picks. 1 out of 19 doesn't exactly give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Lovely bunch of coconuts..

I dont think Mettenberger is bad, they need weapons there. I think Amari Cooper could go there. Really want Mariota

I always think about the year Rodgers got drafted - he was the consensus #1 pick until a couple of weeks before the draft - then Alex Smith came out of nowhere and the rest is history

I prefer "rooting interests" to "cheering". Cheering just sounds like you're at a pep rally doing high kicks while the boys in the front row try to spot a camel toe.

I trust Rex will win 3 of the next 4 games, knowing that it will make Idzik look bad when he fires Rex, and also screwing his hopes at getting the top QB in the draft.

It sucks so, so bad when your team is terrible and still playing and as a fan you have to ride the line between wanting them to have a high draft pick yet not really wanting them to lose. Just a terrible position to be in as a fan.

I know these are pie in the sky crap that wouldn't be possible but I almost wish that as soon as you are eliminated from the playoffs they could just stop playing and draw draft positions out of a hat after the year or just do the opposite of what they normally do and reward the good teams with the better draft positions so you always want your team to win as a fan.

Well lets hope Mariota shits the bed tonight in the PAC-12 Championship Game and Winston lights it up tomorrow in the ACC Championship Game.. Then maybe the Bucs will change their mind...

    Jags lose
    Titans lose
    Skins lose
    Buccs lose

If we win today we would be most likely saying goodbye to any chance at a top 4 pick.
