Sunday starts a 3 games in 10 day stretch, all vs beatable teams. These 10 days could define the season, have to take care of business.
Yep, I fucked up. I'm gonna count it out. Sunday (game), Monday-Saturday (6), Sunday (game), Monday- Wednesday (3), Thursday (game). These 12 days will define our season guys!
It couldn't have been much simpler, really, because the Raiders game is November 1 and the Bills game is November 12. The calendar really set me up to succeed and I let it down.
I'd feel ALOT better if this was at home. Carr has been playing some great football and there defense is pretty solid. cooper is looking like a quick study. he will be the second best qb we faced and maybe the best defense we have faced. coin flip.
9th ranked offense. Carr has a 101 qb rating with 11 TD vs only 3 ints. 5th best in the NFL they have talent
Oakland looked pretty decent against San Diego, but that team is up and down and I have no idea what to believe with them. Oakland will probably be a good challenge, but based on the game against NE, I'd expect a 10-14 point win for the Jets. Hopefully we can get our injured guys back, but probably not Pryor.
Our defense is definitely going to have to create a few turnovers. A special teams score for the Jets would be astonishing.
I like the fact they didn't have Stacy back returning KO's. I think it was Owusu. Looked way better too.
I just realized how crucial this one is to the entire season. Lose, and OAK and NYJ are tied at 4-3 with the tiebreaker going to the raiders. win and gang green sits pretty atop the wild card picture with 3 games against the afc south waiting for us. More than even NE, THIS is a season defining must win.
Oakland are much improved this year but what I think I like about our chances is the way Bowles looked at the NE game - just a game that would be a W or L - no over the top mission that leads to a let down in belief if you get an L, but an even keeled approach that ensures that leaving the locker room all the players were focused on getting back on track. The Raiders lost to the Bears by 2 and beat the Browns by just 7 - so long as the HC keeps the guys focused and not looking beyond this game - like several posters above are doing I really feel like we can win. While they are improved . Against Denver none of their WRs had more than 50 yrds They went East to London and got an impressive W - now lets see them go west and get a good result.
Truth right here. I said it at the end of the NE game; I'll be more concerned if we lose to Oakland than the Pats. I don't see them scoring 37 against us like they did SD. Revis has to be a lock on Cooper, start to finish. Cro/Marcus Williams on Crabtree.

look, the jets are the superior team and would ice the raiders on a neutral field, but that comment is just intellectually dishonest. carr is pushing the ball further down the field while completing a higher percentage of his throws and turning the ball over less. that said, i think he'll have a tougher time against the jets d. he's come a long way since week 1 of last year
