I can guarantee that Bellicheck is aware of the issues the Jets have had on special teams, I would look for him to aggressively block punts, odd kickoffs to create confusion and turnovers, I wouldn't doubt an on-sides try. He's going to pressure special teams to make plays and likely get some points off it.
Turnovers are key in this game. Getting the Patriots to commit them will be tough. More importantly, Fitzpatrick and the offense needs to protect the ball. The Redskins managed to get 13 points on 3 turnovers in the 1st half yesterday. We know if that is the Patriots, it's 21 points. Likely unable to come back in the 2nd half from it. Need to play mistake free ball.
I hope Marcus Williams hammy is ready to go, because Skrine has a concussion and McDougle was his backup. McDougle made a few plays, but Brady will kill him all game if he's out there.
That's not true... at the stadium and I can tell you he didn't Miss it...it fell short becuase of the wind but he was dead on. Yea, counts as a miss but asking your kicker to make a FG that far out with that wind and then blaming him for it? nah.. Folk hero gets a pass.
id worry about getting to 9 wins and making the playoffs before any division talk. pats are a lock for 12+ wins
NFL Historians. Did Bowles and Bellichick work on the same team at the same time before under Parcells?
Short answer: no. Bowles never coached directly under Parcells with the Jets, his first NFL job was under Groh in 2000, the season after BB resigned as HC of the NYJ. He worked for Parcells with the Cowboys but that was years after Belichick went to NE.
im not really worried about gronk. im more worries about edelman, lewis, amendola and special teams colts basically took gronk out of the game outside of 1 play where they sold out onthe run on a playaction pass. gronk is great, but double him and you can take him out of the game.
1 TD in last 3 games against us. No catches in first half against Colts. Spoiler... 19 catches in those 3 games 3 catches 50 yards 1 TD in 2nd
I'm not saying they can win the division, I'm saying that any realistic hope of doing so involves winning on Sunday
man, really hoping Skrine can play next week. this game is why Mac brought him in... i want to see how our D matches up at full strength.
i'm guessing he needs to go through the concussion protocol to get clearance. it's already looking positive?
Chris Ivory is going to feast. Gore made that rush defense look pedestrian. And yes, we need Skrine back badly.
Ok......we're gonna put Lorenzo Mauldin on him all game, and he's going to cover him with heart. They'll make a movie about it in a few years.
