Incorrect call he did not launch himself and hit him with his shoulder, incidental contact with the facemask made it look like a helmet hit.

Seems to me defenders need to allow the receiver to catch the ball with impunity, let the receiver take a step or two, brace for a hit THEN tackle him.

Helemt contact gets a flag. The receivers are protected above the neck, that's my understand of the rule. He got hit above the neck, flag. That's how the refs have called it all year too, the helmet gets contact, flag.

 

are these announcers for real? They advocate punting rather than trying a 54 yarder?

I know a missed FG gives NO good field position, but Gostkowski is a great kicker and the conditions are good.

That hit on Amandeola looked like one of those hits that has affected the ex players. When he got up, you could see he was gone. Im surprised he stood up, hope he gets better because that looked dangerous.

He grounded the ball intentionally, but since the receiver was close enough and he was out of the box, it wasn't intentional grounding?
