I think it was a bad flag is all I'm saying. When the defender does it right, lowers the shoulder and hits the receiver below the helmet, even though there is incidental contact with the helmet, I think the ref needs to leave that flag in his pocket. Maybe what I'm saying is, the rule sucks. If you're a taller defender than the receiver, how can you AVOID contact with the helmet? Defenders have no shot anymore. _
Oh I agree with you then. I'm just saying by the book, that is a flag. I disagree with the rule because there are times when the WR ducks after the defender is already tackling and boom penalty. They want to take out any big hits over the middle with the rule which means its really hard to dislodge the ball from the receiver, basically you can't do it safely anymore
The concussion was from the whiplash effect and his helmet hitting the ground. Come on, at some point even as Jet fans we have to be fair. That was a perfect hit- and no he did not launch himself. _
I know Drew Brees and co. are good at passing, but this running game is doing fine and they go 5 wide.
1st and 20 down 6 with 3 minutes left and one TO at the NE 30 yard line. 4 down territory for NO now. If they don't score here, basically over
