I used to think your posts were worthless, but ever since your betting thread in the NFL forum, wow. Nobody cares about your fucking bets.
There is really only 1 relevant question, no --2. Will the Broncos punt? And will Vick actually prepare for the possibility that he could go in, being that he idiotically admitted to lack of preparation for last week's game. This team has become a joke.
Hard to be optimistic when your head coach isn't. In Rex's presser yesterday he was uncharacteristically negative about his teams prospects on Sunday and after a piss poor practice to me he looked down on the team. Of course his fans will say it's all Idziks fault because we didn't sign Rogers-Cro and the 20 mil of unspent cap money. I don't buy it. If this team is not up for a game I look first at the players but at the coaching staff, too. Idzik has put money and high picks into the defensive backfield and the receiver corps. It's not the reason we got clobbered by San Diego.
You do realize that Rex doing a poor job having his team prepared for a game and Idzik constructing a very flawed roster can coexist in the same universe. They are mutually inclusive.
I don't believe the roster is flawed. And you don't build a team by spending your entire cap on overrated free agents. Esp when you have to have space to re-sign your own players like Wilkerson. You'd be the ones screaming for his head if he spent all the money and we couldn't re-sign our star players. Wilk will be asking for double digits too. Look the team was 8-8 last season and made upgrades to the team. Without spending the entire cap. The team was 1-3 going into last week but had been competitive in all of their games. There is no excuse for what happened on Sunday. The team was flat and the coaching was bad.
Nope. We're 1-4. We have outright blown (with a little help from the refs) two games so far (@GB, Chicago at home). It's time to win a few games we're not supposed to win. That or have yet another disastrous season and say goodbye to yet another head coach.
It's not a bad question esp after that debacle last week. Nobody thinks we're going to win esp. Rex. You could tell by what he said and didn't say in his presser yesterday. Not much confidence coming from him. So to answer your question. Yes. Sure I'd love to pull the upset and squash Peyton Manning but based on what we saw last week a good competitive game is all you can really ask for. And if the ball bounces our way we'll take it and run.
No because than our season is essentially done at 1-5. Its all or nothing for me. Somehow get the win then head to New England....... Ideally this is what I would like to see: "Send the Jets to Foxborough" at 2-4
Yep and as we get further removed, maybe people will appreciate what we had. Not easy as proven recently.
If you put pressure on Peyton he can throw picks too. But not stupid predictable blitzes that even the fans can figure out let alone the smartest offensive mind in football. Forget about the shock and awe and just put out a good steady defense on 3 downs not 2 and let your impact players on D make the plays. They match up very well against anyone. Btw last week the Jets got blown out but it's not so unusual for a team if they come out flat and things don't go their way to get killed.
Maybe this will be the game where Milliner finally plays like the player everyone hoped he would become. We need to force no less than 3 turnovers from them. Short of that, I don't know how we possibly keep them under 31 points.
Milliner looked good on sunday even tho is bad to say that when you get beat like we did. He was playing good ball.
