Once again the official ignores the "clear evidence" rule and overturns a VERY close call on the field.
eagles/giants over the last 5 years have been very high scoring even when they involved one or two good defenses. This one? No points through 28 I think I missed this play. What happened?
It looked like Desean trapped the ball on catch and was called incomplete in real time. On replay you could see Desean had two arms on the ground but you couldn't tell if the ball skipped off his arms into his chest or off the ground in between his arms into his chest. I thought it was a catch off replay, but if you truely need "conclusive" evidence to overturn, the replay wasn't conclusive since there was no angle conclusively showing the ball didn't hit the ground
It was a possible reception by an Eagles receiver - it was called incomplete, the video was barely possibly indicating that he caught it, and it was overturned. Not a big deal in the scheme of things, but referees seem to decide on a whim whether they demand "clear and compelling evidence" or not when they do the review. Edit: didn't see your question was already answered.
cromartie you moron, why would you run it out? TAKE A KNEE he ran across the entire end zone giving the entire giants team a chance to size him up and then came out
Can someone explain to me why it is that on obvious passing downs other teams seem to get wide open receivers, and the Jets NEVER do?
