i am going to the game i live in LA, already got the tickets and i will make the short drive(2.5 hours)
Want to go, but probably won't make it. Lived in SD for 3 years, in L.A. now. The atmosphere will be insane, especially for a Monday Night game. Charger fans are fair weather, but high intensity. Had one of the best seats in the house for the Playoff Win over the Chargers a few years back. 40-yard line, 12th row, field level. The first 5-8 rows are obstructed view since they are so low. What a thrilling game that was.
Are the first 11 rows obstructed on each side of the field? If not, then why not put the teams on the same sideline? This used to be done when the Packers and Vikings played in Milwaukee and Bloomington, respectively. This is also done in San Francisco for college bowl games (and was done in XFL action, as well), although that is done due to space issues. The Vikings did it because fans in the lower level on one side of the field could not see the field due to all the activity on the sidelines, so both teams were put on the same sideline. Also, I always wondered about something. Why would a Jets fan have season tickets to another team? How many of the Chargers games can you possibly go to each year without missing Jets action? Three or four, tops?
Thats what they said when the Chargers went to GB last season too. Who won that game again? A stellar, 3 TD no Int performance from favre can easily = a win. Toss in maybe one mistake by SD, and a solid performance from Thomas Jones, and it's possible to win by a couple scores. One thing Favre has always done in a career is give you a opportunity to truly win any game your in. I remember in that 4 - 12 season against the panthers, we were down by three scores with 8 minutes to go, and suddenly favre just went off like a lighting bolt and suddenly had a chance to win the game under 2 minutes to go. It didn't happen, but it was just a nice note to see that no matter how much better then other team is then you, Favre is just that big of a factor. We'll see. At the moment, even without there starting MLB, Chargers have to be given the obvious nod for a win... but I don't think it will be easy for them either. jets D should be better then has been shown so far... and the offense is obviously better. Could be interesting.
I don't know about the Chargers sideline, I've always been on the visitor sideline (aka the sunny side) I don't watch the Emerald Bowl, do they play it at AT&T and not at Candlestick? As far as the tickets, I have a partner and we generally sell them, our tickets face at 90 dollars per sear per game but we sold the Pats tix to some Masshole for 400 bucks a pop. That right there pays for half the tix. We unloaded the Colts for 300 a pop so it's almost paid for itself. We also sold the Cowboy preseason and the Bronco game so we are already close to having turned a profit. Obviously if I lived in San Diego I'd go to more games but living 5 hours away makes it tough. I'll be at 2 games, the Jets and Falcons.
i could swear i had read something about ligaments and tendons in the past. i think the basic thought was that with the overgrown and strength in the muscles that the ligaments couldnt handle the pressures. as they do not get stronger along with the muscles. then again im no doctor and thinking i remember reading something about it a number of years ago.
I sat 50yd line 1st row vs. cleveland a couple of years ago and the view was great. The cheerleaders were a dongs distance away.
They had played that bowl at where the Giants now play. I don't know where they played it this past season. If you can get most of the tickets sold and make money, then that's good.
