I don't expect to walk all over them but I do expect to win. Philly will come to play, but if you look at the rosters, our personnel is simply better. Bradford's confidence is low and we are not the D he wants to see right now. I think we can score 21-24 on them, and I don't think they can reach 20 against us. Sometimes it is as simple as that
We missed a lot of sacks vs Manziel and Luck because they are mobile but Bradford is not escaping that pocket from the hounds on our D-Line
My biggest worry is the mental block. We have never beaten the Eagles in the regular season in our entire existence. 0-9 all time. They always seem to have our number. I also worry that our big guys are going to tire quickly with Chip's up tempo offense. The good thing is that the Eagles defense is suspect and I think that we can control the offensive side of the ball. If we can get ahead early and shut down the run, we should be okay.
Eagles will be desperate, we're on a short week. Will be a tough game. Hopefully our running game will get going early on in the game and praying Decker's injury isn't serious!
Williams will record his 1st regular season sack next week. Almost had it today but Luck is a bitch to get down
Anyone have the line yet? My guess is we will open at -3.5 and it might move to 4.5 or so. Eagles still have support from preseason hype, would not shock me if it opens even lower
Gut feeling is that this is the quintessential trap game. -Coming off of a big road win . . . to come home and play against an 0-2 team . . . that is definitely better than their record would indicate . . . on a short week . . . But, hey, the Jets have ability.
Scratch that on line. Eagles were favored by 1 but I assume that was before tonight. I would be shocked if we don't end up favored by a FG
Given that the Jets only play the Eagles once every four years, I doubt most Jets players even know the team is 0-9 against the Eagles (a pretty meaningless stat anyways when you consider the first time they met was 1973).
