League has always been so in the tank for the Giants. Just to keep the game alive the refs tried to give them the most ridiculous spot on a 4th down I have ever seen. Lions challenged and won it.
If Giants win this game, can somebody please shoot me. I want to see them 0-3 once they get blasted by Eagles next week. Pure joy.
Then the Chargers at home, Denver on the road and the Seahawks at home. 2-5 would be a blessing for this team. They also get the Chiefs and the Raiders in a three week span including a trip to Oakland after playing the Redskins in Washington.
The more I watch the Lions the more I think about how Adrian Peterson could've been a good add for this team. Abdullah as the changeup and Riddick as your third down back. They could've used him. They'll also get Taylor Decker back. Could they challenge the Packers for the division? McDonnaugh just said only 10.5% of teams that start 0-2 make the playoffs. Giants have started 0-2 four out of the past five years.
You guys want to see a bad offensive line, watch the Giants. That is an absolute turnstile. Marshall looks slower than ever. As usual had a big drop. Beckham was a non factor. Their running game is not any good. Only player who looks ok is Evan Engram. Hate to say it but if the Giants do end up 0-4, it would absolutely make all the sense in the world for them to initiate a tank and go for one of the QB's. I see it as very possible
They make need to go for a QB if Eli continues being punished like this. He took some big hits tonight.
I have wondered the same thing. Tonight when the game was going on, the ESPN website could not stop promoting the Giants. Mara no doubt is the most powerful owner in the NFL. If the Jets had an owner like Mara I think they would have a 2nd Super Bowl victory. Its to bad you can't trade owners.
QB is not their problem, they also drafted Webb in the 3rd round this year. They need to draft oline help and from what I'm seeing reported from college football, good olinemen are going to be a plentiful crop in this years draft.
I have them 1-5 going into the Rams game. After that, their schedule is brutal. If the offensive line keeps collapsing and they can't get any run game whatsoever, we are looking at a 4 win team.
It's only two games, but I never understood all of the hype for the Giants as Super Bowl contenders this year. Their offense is obviously terrible, and was last year, too. Their defense is okay, but hardly world-class. I guess they could still turn it around, but there's no particular reason to think they will at this point.
Giants o-line makes the Jets o-line look like the best in the league. Eli is pulling a late career Jake Delhomme and the o-line he has isn't doing him any favors. I know OBJ was more of a decoy yesterday but he may have to literally carry this offense the entire season.
