    not a good job by Ryan, sliding before he reached the first down

    but refs call a late hit and atlanta gets it anyway

    All you have to do is beg the ref for a flag and you'll get it. It's an absolute joke.

    Made up for by an idiotic unnecessary roughness penalty.

    I'm really getting sick of these moronic players on defense who have decided that the presence of replacement referees means that they have the right to do whatever they want. People keep saying it's the referees' fault that they're losing control of the game, but how about a little blame going to the ridiculous brutality of some players? I blame the league for not fining the crap out of these players until they stop a lot more than these referees, who have been put in a completely untenable position.

    Games are taking way too long.

    They confer about everything and sometimes are wrong too. It's brutal. I read on somewhere on the internet (so it must be true :)) that games are taking 5-10 minutes on average longer

    It's shocking how true this is. Take that last holding on 4th down -- to be fair, it did look like a legit penalty, but nobody called it until Stokley started screaming. Then, all of the sudden, the back judge gives him the flag.

    If this game doesn't make the NFL fold, what the hell will?

    10:30 and its halftime...

    The ratings are going to be awful for the 2nd half...
