 Hell no McCown's not getting us to the playoffs!

Garrard had his chance, but lets face it they drafted Gabbert to start sooner then later. At some point they will hand it over to Gabbert and McCown is about 7 Million cheaper at holding down the spot until he's ready.

It's always about the money, I don't care what the FO says.

The drop off from Garrard to McCown, one would think, is pretty large. Garrard is coming off some decent seasons. He ain't a great pocket passer, but he has shown ability to move the offense and can make shit happen with his legs as well. I was surprised they cut him.

Here's the problem with Garrard. He forget who he is, and tries to play for more. Garrard's a GREAT game manager, problem is he puts together 2 or 3 good games and then tries to play Tom Brady.

Bottom line he's not the answer and you can't pay a guy 8 Million to start only half the year. He also had a HORRIBLE preseason and camp, at age 33 his time might have just came and went.

There is a big drop off from Garrard and McCown, no doubt, but its only temporary until the rookies ready. That's if you guys don't KILL McCown this week.

Alright NY, I'm off for the night. I'll check in tomorrow before the game, good luck, looking forward to a hard hitting, injury free game.

After all anyone not a Squeeler(steelers) or Tack(titan) fan is alright by me!

Lets get back to football- I am a bit uneasy about this game and I can see a tough afternoon in the trenches, I personally think this game is on one man- yes you guessed it Sanchez.

I hope he continues his encouraging progression from last week and if he finds his guys- (Plax, not sure Holmes is suiting up today, and Dustin) he can take a lot of pressure of our D. Damn I would like to have good drive and an early score today.

Dude their offense is one guy. This won't be a fight if MJD is shut down and the offense isn't anemic for 3 quarters.

Their defense is controlled by the two talented DTs. If they're stopped, then the defense is rendered useless. Mangold can handle either Knighton or Alualu by himself.

Whoa! Hold on there. I seem to recall the same mindset the last time the Jags were in town.
And you have answered my anxiety-" if the offence isn't anaemic". Del rio usually has his cats organised and I won't be surprised to see some trickery from them to try and spring MJD.

Like I said, Sanchez and the offence can take a lot of pressure of us today with some early strikes; the last thing the Jets and the stadium need is a tight game going down the wire.

I believe Garrard's biggest downfall was not having a decent WR. I think he's a better QB than he gets credit for. The Jags sent him to the picnic with a shit taco.

Dude, go to a bar. I've never had any luck with the streams, they are always lagging behind and drop randomly. But, hey, they are free so I can't complain.

watch for a ton of screens, with the Jets blitz package I expect us to try and use the screen as a counter. but yea our offense is centered around MJD no secret there.

The WR core has been pretty bad, but its a 2 way street. Tom Brady has had pretty good sucess with some sub par WR.

I do think in 2007 IF we would have had a decent WR core we could have beaten the Patriots, but then again you can play what if with every team every year.

That's probably a good idea. The Jets seem to play to the level of their opponent, so I expect it to be a close game no matter who we play. We could play the '85 Bears or Little Sally's Girls Academy and still not win by more than 7.

We say the SAME thing about the Jags. Truth probably is the NFL is just a fight every week.

Heck who would have guessed the Bills would stomp the Chiefs?

That's true, but I don't think anyone expected him to be Brady. He's been an above average QB and I think he still could be in the right situation. I was just surprised like everyone else by that move when they seemed to be building some pieces on defense and improving the team after the lockout. To me it seemed to put them right back at square one after all that effort.

I do think we'll see Gabbert on the field pretty soon barring some miracle performances by McCown.

I really think that was the plan, they made a ton of moves in FA on the defensive side. But something happened to make them jump ship on Garrard? Now its just hold down the fort till the rookies ready. I'm thinking either after the Bye week or against Cinncy he starts.

I'm just glad he's not starting against you guys today. I'd like to have him for a couple of years.
