It was a stupid decision, but it's probably more than luck that more often than not it works out for him. Mr. Elite sacked and fumbles.
I've seen him do this so many times. He's a good returner but he makes so many stupid decisions with the football. He picks off balls when knocking it down would end the game, he tries for a big return, risking a fumble when there's nothing to gain and everything to lose, and he returns it deep out of the end zone in situations like the one that just happened.
