Never count the Lions out on Turkey day. This is crazy. I wish I hadn't slept the whole first half away. 11:30AM!?
it would make more sense if it was just a penalty (hear the result from the booth, then go on the field, announce the decision, and say "Since the Detroit coach tried to challenge a play that is automatically reviewed, a 15 yard penalty will be enforced against Detroit")
actually they have not done well recently on Thanksgiving. Historically they were competitive, but not over the last decade. They've faced a lot of strong opponents and laid down.
This Lions Thanksgiving thing came up last year with some clueless poster claiming the Lions historically always got blown out on Thanksgiving http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=2342562&postcount=76
It would be a travesty as big any the replacement refs had if the Lions lose because the refs on the field can't tell when a player is clearly down. This Texans defense is not very good. Was Cushing that big of a loss?
yeah, when the injury happened I wrote the Cushing injury was a big blow. At the time when they happened I did not feel the Johnson and Williams injuries in 2011 were as devastating as the Cushing one this season
So your friend is the only person who saw him throw a flag. The opposition didn't see it, no cameras captured it, and the ref never came over to pick it up, which is the protocal.... ..but your friend saw it. OK
I hope the Lions get to FG range. I hate that they got right to the edge of FG range and blew it the last two possessions. Stafford should never have let himself get sacked last time.
