DEN misses FG, gives KC good field position. Half should have ended but defensive holding on DEN gives KC a FG kick. They had lined up for 64 yard FG, but look to throw Hail Mary now
Strange decision by Smith to run on the final play that had basically zero chance of a TD A hail mary, and you at least could get pass interference or something and I would've tried the FG
That was an interesting sequence at the end - they ended up closer on the last play, but could only get the better field position if they didn't take the penalty, which would have ended the half. Taking the penalty pushed them back 5 to 10 yards and made the field goal a lot harder, so they ran a Hail Mary play instead (that Alex Smith was stupid enough to not throw the ball on).
yeah, reid was hoping to have his cake and eat it too, but the untimed down is only on an accepted penalty. There's no untimed down if you decline the penalty.
Broncos up 24-10 on Monte Ball TD run. I think this might be a bit too much for KC to comeback from. First time all year KC defense has let up 20+ points
Record watch. With only one TD so far tonight, Peyton is at 34. 16 passing TDs remain for him to tie the record with 6 games remaining.
I think that's a good no challenge by Reid. Challenging a fumble was recovered by your team is a very tough one to win.
I hated punting on that 4th and 7 because Colquitt kicks it into the end zone every time, with the thin air
Chiefs had chances to be more aggressive than they were this game and they stayed true to their nature and kept it conservative. Didn't work tonight, I think next meeting against Denver and come playoff time they might be more willing to go more aggressive and take some more chances. EDIT and agree, would have liked to see Reid go for it there
