I didn't watch the game, but if Brady is out there, it seems like an unnecessary risk. All it takes is one blown pass protection for him to be out the next game or following games. I don't care about passing or running up the score, it just seems stupid to do.
Indeed. Two quotes taken from two Colts fans on two separate Colts forums: "Can't be mad at NE...we can't stop them so crying isn't allowed...by the D...not us" "He's paid to play QB for the NE Patriots. The Colts could feel free to, I don't know, stop them?" The crying over running up the score is really tired, and respect to the two Colts boards for only having one person complain about it. I believe it's more humiliating for Colts if the Pats were to half-ass it or trot out Mallett with that much time remaining.
Of course Ed Reed finds the fumble and scoops it. Ed Reed didn't lateral it though although I think Johnson was asking for one or setting up for one
Nothing bad. The other poster is not knowledgeable. With 6 seconds left Rivers tossed the ball to the turf and began to shake hands with the opposition. The clock was running, the Chargers had no timeouts, they were about 70 yards from the end zone and the receivers were down field after having run pass patterns. There was no way the Chargers were going to get off another play.
Yeah, no quitting whatsoever. Based upon the time stamp the poster was definitely referencing that last sequence. Only thing he could have been referencing in fact. I really hate the internet sometimes.
Is Cotchery the only player to have ever played receiver for both Marshall QB's (Pennington and now Leftwich)?
In this Steelers Ravens game, who would the Jets want to win to better any chances whatsoever of making the playoffs?
of course the punt results in a touchback (it very often does when punting from inside the 40). So rather than trying to convert, they punt and move the ball 18 yards. Stupidity.
also hate the fair catch at your own 10 with 12 seconds left. If you don't see a chance for a return, get out of the way. You're risking a muff (and the ensuing pitt score to end the half) for nothing.
it's not really a horsecollar if you don't get pulled down, Collinsworth and it wasn't inside the jersey
