Not a great year for him I meant, by his standards, I'll take him in a second though....I think back to the game where he knocked down 6 passes on Sanchez
Yates could start if Hoyer is not cleared. I am not sure which would be better to face, but hopefully the Jets D can shut that entire offense down. Houston's D was good on Monday Night, but I feel the Bengals looked off too. I think the Jets (with Fitzpatrick) can make some plays on offense.
Fitz is on the field and practicing. A good sign. The guy is pretty tough. So are Cro and Calvin Pryor. Powell seems to be practicing as well. Enunwa is back too. I read somewhere else that Cro should be the primary kick returner from here on out. I agree with that, and have him be the CB 4 (behind Revis, Williams and Skrine)
Watt is having just as good a year as last year, if not better. You're just not hearing it because he's not getting his dick sucked by the media for scoring touchdowns.
I have to be honest. I have almost zero concern that they can move the ball on us. Phil - 231 total yards Miami - 226 total yards Washington - 225 total yards Buffalo - 280 total yards Patriots - 353 total yards ... For them, that's a low number Those teams all have MUCH better weapons than Houston, and they had a hard time moving the football against us. Unfortunately, the other units simply gave away two of those games. We've had a couple of bad defensive games too ... I don't deny that ... but those are the exception. People don't give our defense enough credit. Just watch most of these other teams around the league play defense. I think the only way Houston scores on us is if we HAND them the points ... And God knows, our offense and ST are certainly capable of doing that. That's my only concern going into this game. But if we hold on to the goddamn football, I don't see them scoring more than one TD and maybe one or two long FG's. Like I said ... I don't think they'll total 300 yards.
You think he's really gonna be demoted as a CB? i mean i wouldnt mind.. i'd actually be happy as he is a liability at this point, and a complete embarrassment to such a good defense. I just can't see him being demoted to 4th CB.. And honestly, i'd rather see Milliner and Mcdougle in the dime in quarter packages.
Re watching the Buffalo game our defense was stout the entire game, except for TD letdown after halftime. Tyrod got hit all night long. Demaro Davis was the most glaring weakness for the defense, against buffalo, and he still had a decent game.
No, he wont. But he should be the kickoff returner and he will continue to be burned on 2-3 big plays a game until Bowles figures out that Williams is better.
On my schedule the Buffalo game was a week ago. But to answer your question ... I listed the games we already held better offenses to less than 300 yards. EDIT --- Btw, I only think we got "lit up" in two games ... Jax and Oak. The other 7 games our D played well, and was really only responsible for one loss --- Oakland. My main point remains ... Houston doesn't have good enough offensive weapons to move the ball on us.
Jason La Canfora– Verified account @JasonLaCanfora Brian Hoyer not scheduled to practice today. Remains in concussion protocol. Texans unlikely to have him available on Sunday 4:46 AM - 18 Nov 2015
I really cannot wait to see Pryor pick back up his progression and prove to be a stud SS in this league!
Deandre Hopkins missed practice today with a knee injury. Pardon me: the Houston Texans offense missed practice today with a knee injury.
