Haha.. well John Fox doesn't know anything about having a QB who can pass.. afterall, he let Jake Delhomme quarterback his team in Carolina forever.
1. He can be religious if he wants to. And if he wants to be flamboyantly religious and make a public spectacle of himself while doing so, his religiousness is fair game for ridicule. 2. Calling yourself BroncoFanBoy is really messed up.
Not necessarily. True, you don't need to have skills like Peyton Manning, but there are times where he's gonna have to learn to throw the football, and Tebow would need to be able to throw it well enough. When the team's down by a lot, they're gonna need to pass the ball, or if the run game isn't working, or in the final minutes of a game and your team is down. Fox and company want to teach him how to throw from the pocket more often. I'm sure you guys would agree he isn't a pocket passer. We're trying not to rush him into being a pocket passer. It takes time.
Well...that's one thing we have in common with Denver. They have a defensive-minded coach who prefers a run-heavy offense. But that doesn't mean the QB doesn't require passing skills.....that's asinine on so many levels.
The dude can get used to the NFL level. You can't really blame him for some of his passes. Sure, he has thrown some terrible ones in the past, but he has receivers that drop passes a lot, and he's been sacked a lot too. Also, since we started him, we're 3-1. In the right type of offense, (if he's used to it, or has learned how to do it) he will succeed in the NFL.
It's been beaten to death, but again, he has shown that he doesn't have the mechanics to play QB at this level. Right now, the Broncos are winning with smoke & mirrors....that won't last. Just ask the Dolphins how much success they had running the wildcat the next season after they started using it. It's the same principle. Teams will figure out Tebow a lot faster than he will figure out how to play the QB position....just sayin'.
Go see Jerry in the showers and ask him. Seriously, I kind of like watching Tebow play. I don't think he's remotely competent as a quarterback, but neither is Mark Sanchez a good number of snaps each game. He is a great athlete and he just makes plays. They aren't necessarily conventional plays, but whatever. I could see him running over the jets linebackers a few times.
Well his current mechanics won't work, yes, I do agree there, and that's why we're doing triple option. The staff knows he can still improve his mechanics, and that does take time. It's not something you can just learn off the bench. Tebow will need to actually figure out what types of mechanics he can get used to and work. That's why we're doing triple option. The staff wants him to improve, but also still wants to score points. As he improves them, we still gotta find a way down the field.
^^^ this. I dont like whenever someone talks about Tebow, they have to bring religion into it. Just talk about his awkward throwing motion and how hes really a black running back.
Same thing I was thinking. After last year's Pats loss, don't think the Jets were ready to play & were losing no matter what. Dolphins ran into the Jets @ the perfect time. Pats destroy Jets & once again here comes a team you'd expect Jets to beat. Could be like last year ... where Jets needed more than a week to bounce back from a Pats beating.
